Saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING. And I don't know if it was the director's or Paltrow's fault but her character was incredibly irritating.

Downloaded Bush's Brains. An indepth look at Karl "Master of Puppets" Rove. Only watched 20 minutes so far but it looks promising.

Oh I also rented Chronicles of Riddick and rewatched it. Tis a shame it did so poorly at the box office as it is a pretty good flick. The acting was good, aside from Deisel's tough guy facade. Hopefully they will still make more of them.

Will due Old Dude. Just found out Hawks remade Rio Bravo twice. Imagine that...

(Why should I even bother with crap like Van Helsing when there are so many great old movies and anime titles to rent?)

Finally saw Shrek 2. I liked it better than the first one. Two words: Puss in Boots! Wait, that might be three words.

Went on a movie binge this weekend.

Friday:

The Punisher

BOOOOOOOOOOring. Action was non-descript, humor was non-existant, acting was... well, there wasnt much to act around anyway. And why did he spent half the movie without a shirt on?

Switchblade Romance

Great horror movie for about 3/4 of its length. Then they pulled a fight club twist. I think it would have been better if they had just finished the last 1/4 off like the rest. Still the french seem to be making pretty darn good movies recently (irreversible/baise moi).

Saturday:

Motorcycle Diaries

Good movie. Dunno what to say about it really... but it was good. Had to buy the book to check out how much of it is true. Posted Image

Hero

Wow. The beginning was a bit slow but it really picked up once the emperor realized that he was lying. Amazing shots and the ending was great. Is the flying around really necessary, though?

Sunday:

Super Size Me

So fast food is bad for ya. Who would have thunk it? .... but who would have thought that it is THAT bad. Boy oh boy oh boy oh boy. And it really seems to be out of control in the US. I mean half a gallon 'canisters'!? Still, i dont think its quite as bad as having a vegan for a girlfriend who compares ham to heroin... Posted Image

Definitely better than anything moore has ever concocted, though. Funnier, too.

Layer Cake

Starts solid and just keeps getting better. And for once a movie that isnt afraid of its own ending. Posted Image

Just saw the new and final trailer for Alexander here. This movie is starting to look awesome. As long as they don't follow the Troy approach (throw two huge armies into one another and call it a movie) this should be good.

There are like 3 endings to it.

Well, just watch the series through the original endings. Then watch The End of Evangelion movie, because it makes sense that it'd follow the last two series episodes. Death & Rebirth is basically a clipshow with a teaser for EoE, but it's extremely well done as well. (Y)

Actually, I think Hopkins is playing Old Ptolemy. I believe Christopher Plummer is playing Aristotle. Which is rather cool. They're both great actors.

I wonder if the film will directly end with Alexander's death or if they'll do a bit on what happened after he died.

this film is great.. comic cheese exactly how it should be done.. like it is in the comic!

what more could someone want from a comic?

it had demons, action, a big red ape with a stone hand, the guy that played the tick in the live action version as hellboys babysitter (the one with the hair implants) nazi`s, dead russians.. i mean cmon.. whats not to like about it?? lol.. if i wanted plot id watch Memento ffs Posted Image
