Hotel Rwanda was very good. Though, they coulda made it a bit more explicit... not like a bunch of 9 year old are gonna go watch it anyway.

I watched kung fu hustle. Really funny. Posted Image

saw I, Robot the other day. meh. enjoyed the book alot more, some good parts though.

also saw "Buffalo Soldiers" with Joaquim (spelling?) Phoenix today. what a great movie, a few parts i wasnt too fond of but overall a great movie, alternatingly hilarious and serious. pretty good satire and apparently fairly realistic about what went on in allied bases in germany during the cold war.

Watched Stone's Alexander yesterday and although it gets slashed by (most of) the critics I thought it was a bloody marvelous film.

Just finished watching "50 First Dates." It was funny and sad. I liked it.

DC: Director's Cut

Watched:
True Romance: What if Tarantino directed it? It would actually be good Posted Image Sorry, didn't like it much at all. I think expected too much of it becuase of the scripts of the movies he's directed himself... 6/10
Donnie Darko: Throughout the film I had a constant Posted Image Posted Image (The 2nd confused face was to show how confused I was) face. I have no idea what happened in those ~110 minutes. 6/10 (May need to rewatch when I feel like I need to be confused)

Currently loving and watching X-Files, watched the first 6 episodes so far and realised what it was that I liked about it when it was first shown over here.

i liked troy, simply because Greece finally made it to the big screen after so much Rome. the actors, when given the chance by the script, did well, and the scenery/battles/sets were incredible, i thought.
i shudder when i hear Angelina Jolies Greek accent though, she sounds like a vampire Posted Image. I saw part of gaugamela in the trailer, the battles should be entertaining if nothing else. Val will be good, and im lookin forward to Anthony "Aristotle" Hopkins as well

I saw A Very Long Enchantment.

How on EARTH can you combine gruesome pictures of WWI with a soppy love story and humor so sweet it'll give you toothache?!? FFS! I mean, i didnt think amelie was anything special but this movie really blew to an inordinate extent.

Whenever Jeunet comes out with 'Amelie 3: Genocide in Rwana' i sure as hell wont be seeing it...

But that's when they don't have athmosphere (or a very thin one). Atmosphere conducts heat - worming nigth side and cooling day side - the more dense atmosphere the lesser differences between day and nigth side (I'm simplyfing). There coudn't be such high temperature differences (700 C if I remember rigth) on a planet with breathable atmosphere. And it would evaporate anyway in that heat. It's nonsense but effects were nice Posted Image
Evolution, just like gravity, works even if you don't believe in it.

Stupidity doesn't hurt but it kills.

This BubbaHoTep has been recommended to me by a few people, will have to check into it.

My fav western starring the Duke is definitely The Searchers. "That'll be the day!" Posted Image

Just saw Harry Potter 3. While I thought it stayed true to the book it just didn't feel as fun as the first two. Seeing Ron and that retarded grimace of his in every scene got very annoying. I never thought I would say this about a movie but I think it could have used a little more comic relief.

Collateral is an awesome movie. One of the best I 've seen recently. Directed by the guy who made Heat and Last of the Mohicans so it is no surprise that it is good. Word on the street (aka imdb.com) is that he is directing Miami Vice next, but it isn't going to be a spoof like Starsky and Hutch.

City of God = Boyz in the Hood - one set in Rio de Janeiro, one in L.A. But seriously, it was a great movie, one of the best gangster-type movies I've seen in a while. I think I am going to buy the DVD when I get a chance. Really insightful look into life in the City of God.

Also saw Man on Fire and it was yet another great movie I've seen in the past week. But then again I am a sucker for revenge movies Posted Image.

Has anyone watched the Chronicles of Riddick yet? Really wanna see that one.

The Manchurian Canidate will be good too (the original was really good), but the action in Bourne Supremacy will be hard to top this summer. The Blind Swordsman, Hero (not released in US yet) and Blade: Trinity are the only movies that have a shot.

The only good Predator was the first one. What other movie has two United States governors in it? The jury is still out on AvP. The trailer looks cool but that doesn't mean anything.

@DD - Blood is an awesome anime. Been so long since I've seen it. Must watch it again.

Oh and thanks for bringing up the Cell. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. Tried to be so artsy (if that is even a word) and what was with Lopez's voice the whole movie? It sounded like she a) about to cry at every moment in the movie and ^_^ was a chick from a 1-976 phone sex number. Not that I would know what one of those chicks sounds like of course...

I've watched it and loved it. Deserved an oscar.

I've watched baise moi and liked that a lot, too. Better than natural born killers even.

Also watched irreversible. Decent movie. Though the 'fancy' camera work was overdone in the beginning.

Watched Igby Goes Down. Nothing special.
