Just watched Romeo Must Die. That's some cold shit! :p

I speculate that the opening song - DMX's "First I'm Gonna Crawl" - will be the most meaningful of his career.

Best movie opening song-matched-to-scene I can remember is Soul II Soul's "However Do You Want Me?" from Belly.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Got to see a special screening of Spike Jonze's "I'm Here: A Robot Love Story." Technically well filmed, I guess, but the story didn't add up to much, and I found myself unable to get into it. I was dreading the inevitable matter of robot sex, but the scene was mercifully short and understated. I give it a C-minus.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Saw Clash of the Titans.

Sam Worthington is the Australian Keanu Reeves. Replace him with a wooden plank, and who would notice?

It wasn't horrible. Better than the original, which isn't saying much, but there you have it.

I did like the quick bit with Boobo the Owl. "What's this?" "Just leave it."

sacrilege!! it was utter tosh and lacked even the most basic charm of the original.

Saw Clash... I need brain bleach now. My buddies and I were laughing the entire movie and some people actually told us to quiet down because they want to hear the story. What a joke. At the end of the movie I was left thinking: It's over? That was IT? Why?

Also apparently Zeus has the spell "Summon Hot Chick" which he uses at the end of the movie. Io was a better character then Perseus - who might as well not have been there. And the random dudes on the quest - when they died, I was "Wait, who died? Am I supposed to care?"

Horrid movie, just horrid. They almost had a sex scene on Charon's barge while crossing the Styx, for Hood's sake. That just.... uh. Add some tits and high pressure blood and this movie would like a Uwe Boll movie.

You weren't up in Manhattan last night watching it, were you? Cause there were these two or three guys taking the piss out of it the whole time, and this stupid ho and her valleygirlinthebodyofanasshole 'boy'friend were bitching at them almost as long in our theater.

Was a lot more entertaining than the movie.

Not when you're watching a movie that just begs to be trolled. Like Clash of the Titans - which begged for comments. Our comments actually inhanced the movie.

If I recorded one of my D&D session and used those exact audio files along with CGI to make a D&D movie, it would make more sense than Clash and it would have batter characters and better ACTING than clash did. I mean, I was expecting shit but not that much.

Of course not, they're from Sweden, like Apt.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

And yet, you could just have left the theater. Or taken a nap. Or tried really hard to like it.

I'm sure there was a lot of other people in there, people who payed money to watch a film, not listen to the distraction of some chattering monkeys. Some of which had been looking forward to watching it, who despite what your opinion of the film is, might have been enjoying themselves, except for those loudmouthes in the back who just couldn't shut the fuck up.

Watching films in the cinema is serious business. I wouldn't mind paying 5 dollars extra just to pay an usher to stand guard and bounce idiots who can't shut up. I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed to laugh, guffaw or make short comments to their side partner during the film, but a Cinema is not a cafe or your living room.

EDIT: And while we are at it, GET OFF MY LAWN!

Perhaps being constantly distracted during movies has led to Apt's unique cinematic taste? Hmmmm?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
