I liked 'Sunshine' just fine but yeah it reminded me of 'Event Horizon'. Incidently any truth to reading some time back that the director of 'Moon' plans on making it into a trilogy or at least have a sequel to it?

All this sci-fi talk is making me pine for something good... so I'm gonna watch Serenity again :)

I only recently discovered that Pontypool was a sort of zombie movie set in Canada, right ?

Not a documentary about the Welsh town of the same name. I originally envisioned drunken single mothers racing prams through an apocalyptic town centre, being cheered on by steroid abusing meatsacks who randomly punch each other in the face, so avoided it.
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

Watched "The Informant" with Matt Damon this weekend. Not really what i was expecting from the previews. Hardly funny at all. Its an interesting movie, but nothing special.

Turner Classic Movies has a thing going on all month called "31 Days of Oscar". I've watched so many classics lately. Damn thats good stuff. Watched "From Here To Eternitly" , "Tom Jones", and "The Philadelphia Story" this weekend. Good Times.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Saw 'Cop Out' this weekend. If you enjoy buddy/cop comedies and Mr. Morgan, you will like this movie. If you don't like one or both of those, then I would suggest you don't go see it.

Certainly wasn't a great movie, but it was entertaining. PS - Stay through the first couple credits, as there is a little footage part way through that you will enjoy.

Saw "The Raven" last night. As far as B-class films go, it was pretty awesome, and you've got to love performances by Vincent Price and Boris Karloff. Also, Hazel Court is gorram hot.
Also x2, it's based on EA Poe's work, which is awesome on it's own. On to other adaptations of the peroid, starting with The Masque of the Red Death!

I've also watched Hitchcock's "North by Northwest" with Cary Grant and... it was plenty interesting to watch. Granted, to us people of today, it ain't the same as to the people who watched it back then, but it's still pretty thrilling and involving. I'll probably give other Hitchcock movies a look in the near future.

Watch Rear Window imo it may be the best film ever made... Actually, you should just watch any Hitchcock, arguably he's the best filmmaker who ever lived...

Rear Window is great. Vertigo is my personal favorite though.

SM is right though, you cant go wrong with any of them.

Watched Cool Hand Luke and Alien the last couple days. In a big classic kick.

Hahahahahahaha. That movie is awful. They didn't even make the disaster porn all that good, and I wanted to beat the shit out of many of the characters, which is always distracting.

3.5 out of 10.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. Jus saw Alice in Wonderland. Meh. JOhnny Depp was great, Helena Bonham Carter was great, some of the visuals were great, the movie was oddly paced and seemed to lack focus. It was ok. Not worth the price of admission to the imax if it hadn't been free. Worth seeing as a rental for sure, but just didn't wow me.
