I freaking love Heavyweights! Yeah when I saw that film I was like "dude... Ben Stiller has blatantly just nicked his dodgeball character from Tony Perkis..." But I think both films are good in their own way!

Thats the mini-series you're refering to. This is the movie and its "extended" by like 40mins...9 of which is an introduction helped with some pretty pictures...and i have yet to go past 1/2hr due to time...but 5 mins of that half hour was more introduction of the characters and...yea so far no actual change in the movie...

No, the David Lynch version was supposed to have shot more than twice what they actually included. Illuyankas is right.

The mini-series undoubtedly shot more than five hours, as it amounted to something like six, didn't it?

Have seen Munich last night and it is brilliant loved it. Not too one sided in a very contensious issue. Definately recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good film.

Agree Munich was fantastic though i recommend that all blades be removed from the vicinity before watching the film as you may want to kill yourelf afterwards.

I really want to see Munich... Last film I saw at the cinema was Jarhead. It was a rather enjoyable (and apprently true to life) version of what happened in the gulf war...

@People... Dune was a weird film. I only watched it cos a friend wanted to see Sting in Leather or something...:confused:

Watched a film called 'The Happiness of the Katakuris' yesterday, 3 words, WTF. Its a blend of horror, comedy and musical. Please someone tell me they have watched it and I didn't just have a wierd crazy dream.

Watched Sympathy for Lady Vengeance yesterday. Not as good as the first two because it seemed to go in 10 directions at once in the beginning but it still looked great. There's also apparently a B/W version ala sin city about. Hopefully they put it on the DVD.

I saw Walking Tall last night. Poor movie! I knew it was going to be bad but I hoped for some good bad movie action. It was just bad. But good in the "Embarrassing Crush" sense

Then I also saw The King of Comedy. The 1983 Scorcese film with De Niro in it. Very good, if only just to see Robert De Niro yell "MOMMMM" in a whiney teenager way. I highly recommend it.

I just caught "V For Vendetta" this afternoon. Strange film but I liked it. And Natalie Portman is so frakking hot it hurts.

Alan Moore's V For Vendetta is freaking awesome in book form.

This week I saw The Proposition, which was harsh, and Russian flick The Return, which was very good. Made me gasp out loud at one point.

I saw The Proposition yesterday. Guy Pearce is brilliant in it. Talk about under-playing a role. It's perfect. However, my hatred of Ray Winston tainted it and Nick Cave's pretentious soundtrack also annoyed me at times. Emily Watson needs strangling! Despite all that, I recommend it. Some serious jumpy violence scenes in it to keep the attention up to.

I have heard only bad things about V For Vendetta (movie that is). The comments here surprise me.

watched Casshern which was a fab film, absolutely loved it. i definately recommend watching it
liked Arahan
Born to Fight was good, the fighting was great
Oldboy kinda freaked me out
went to the watch the Hills have Eyes which i really liked and have to admit i did scream which ive never done in a cinema before. but you'll all probably say its sh*t so never mind
