Lucky Number Slevin: Great movie

X-Men 3: Unfairly trashed. Not great, but not bad either.

Wall-E-A lot of fun for a kid's movie

I love that lucky number sleven. I think its a highly underrated film. Havent seen the other two tho.
I want to die the way my dad died, peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Watched The House Bunny. Yes.Bouncing boobs and tight pants and mini skirts will keep you interested even while your wife laughs at the stoopid parts and listens to the story. Win, Win.

Nightmare on Elm Street part 1. Still creepy. The wife is just little an has never seen these or the Friday the 13th movies. Also I noticed they are re-making Friday the 13th. ]

Tropic Thunder. I laughed. Reminded me a bit of the 3 amigos. The one with Chevy Chase, Dan Akroid, and Steve Martin. Good stuff.

Traitor. Starring Don Cheadle as a muslim who is selling bombs to terrorist organizations. A must see, a bit slow to start, but ends big.

only problem with lucky slevin was the ending, it ended 20mins before creds and spent 20mins explaining the movie to any morons that didnt get it.

eagle eye - convoluted but i found it fun.

Really? The first one? That was just a cheesy slasher film with the crazy mother. Jason doesn't even appear in it.

I wants the big guy.

No, Xmen 3 was fairly trashed. In fact, it hasn't been trashed nearly enough.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

X-men 3 was such a fuck-up. How can you read the X-men and approve of that manuscript? Vinnie Jones was the only redeeming quality of that film... that and Xavier finally dying, annoying cripple.

As someone who has never read an X-Men comic, I didn't think X3 was as bad as all the X-men afficianados claim, but I will say that it was mediocre and that it was far inferior to X1 and X2.

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

I will not get a rant going on the X-men again (I could, I really could!) but it's so strange that the writers of the three films decided to just create whole new storylines instead of using some of the awesome storyarcs that we've seen over the past 30 years. The Sentinels, The Phalanx, The Genosha Genocides, The slaying of the Morlocks in the sewers of new york, the lost land, Nimrod, Dark Phoenix, The Hellfire Loges machinations, Arcade... the list just goes on and on.

I was pretty pisseed there was no sentinels. Other than that I found it enntertaining. Fuck Cyclops anyways.

Slevin was indeed a cool movie. Wall-E is fun, definitely something to watch with a lady (since it's a love story, and cute, and colorfull).

College - retarded.

How High - Classic.

Formula 51 - The shit.

I'm just going over what I was watching all day yesterday while recovering and cleaning. Also watched some Dark Knight (you know my opinion of that one) and Planet Earth. Turns out I have optical out on my PC so I started downloading HD media :p

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

I love KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE. It is pure retro win.

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE - great great movie. The trailers and blurbs do not do this justice. see this.

DOUBT - edgy and uncomfortable and frustrating. brilliant. see it.

VALKYRIE - y'know, the fact that there were attempts by Germans to assassinate Hitler isn't a secret, and this attempt, the suitcase bomb six months before the war ended, gets a lot of focus. That said, there were tonnes of elements to the plot that never get any airtime before this movie. Interesting. Tom gets props for pushing this thru. Good enough to watch in theatre.

BENJAMIN BUTTON - looooooong. sooooooo loooonnnngggg. Perhaps was not quite as bored as i could have been. If i was watching a disk at home i would have snoozed.

REVOLUTIONARY ROAD - I haven't seen this but omg even the trailer depresses me. Just had to vent.

- Abyss, no longer trusts gameshows, priests, nazis or old people.

Today, I went to the cinema with a friend, and we saw "THE CATS OF MIRIKITANI", a documentary about a homeless Japanese artist, his traumatic past and reshaping of his future. It was a pleasant surprise. Really well done, without kitsch or pathos. The brief visual commentary on contemporary situation in the USA was slightly unnecessary IMO (it was clear, no need to over-explain it) but otherwise I can find no fault in the way this touching story was narrated. A great documentary I warmly recommend to everyone.

Also, I got persuaded by Mr. B to watch "THE ILLUSIONIST" this weekend and regretted it afterwards... I mean, it's supposed to play in Vienna, but the only thing Viennese in it were those 5 seconds of blurry outdoor scenes at Hofburg and in front of the Opera... the rest was all shot in Czech Republic... And Jessica Biel is sooooo ugly and sooooo unconvincing in that role... Meh. And Norton's and Giamatti's talents were completely wasted on that movie. Somebody please give me 2 hours of my life back... *rant, rant, rant*
The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

I'd recommend checking out THE PRESTIGE as well if The Illusionist wasn't up your alley. I enjoyed both.
