May I venture any queries as to the fate of 'The Island'? I heard it was godawful, can anyone corroborate this?

I saw it a few weeks ago, and enjoyed it. The ending was rather cliche, though the rest of it was worth watching, imo :)

Best thing about Goldeneye was that it had Sean Bean, the guy who would made one mean James Bond.

Thankyou snake, I now resolve to drag my friends to see it whether they know they're going to see a film or not. :)

I saw "The Island" earlier this summer. Decent action flick and I enjoyed it. The addition of the oh-so fine Scarlett Johansson only makes it better! Damn she's fine! :)

Saw "Wedding Crashers" this weekend. Not as funny as "40-year-old Virgin" but pretty good for a laugh...
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

From Hellw as on TV yesterday, so I had a look. Johnny Depp kicks so much ass in every movie he's in.

I've just watched Bloodsport this weekend (well, watch doesn't really describe it, it was more of dozing...). Funny no-brainer, as most of VanDamme's movies are. There are just some hilarious scenes where VD tries to actually act, instead of beating someone unconscious...:D

And yep, the dragon's looked cool. If they just would have hired someone to write a clean script, instead of going "Woah! Dragons are cool! Let's make a movie with dragons!...erm, storyline? script? scrap that, coz dragons alone are ubercool!"...

Made me wonder how movies actually get financed (i.e. who pays good money to produce a bad, bad movie... aaah, mysteries of the world!), if you see some of the crap floating around.

I saw the island. Besides some silly action sequences (the heroes fall off a building, but OH! a net just happens to be in the way) it was alright.

Some really nice shots in the car chase.

Also saw cindarella man. Takes forever to build up the tension. Still pretty darn good.

And yesterday i saw batman begins, which somehow got an 8.3 on IMDB. Sure the lighting deserves an oscar, the acting was solid and it was lacking in soppy moments... but the fight scenes were crap... and it wasnt that good really.
