er..You obviously haven't seen Snatch or Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels... Or has "pants" suddenly become a positive description? If so, well neither of those three movies you listed were any good :D

the pikey subtitles option is hilarious too, but for ever more hilariousness, get a foreign version of the film and try the pikey subtitles with that! I saw it in French with french pikey-subtitles and it was just complete and utter nonsensical jibberish. Awesomesauce.

Went and saw 'the bank job'.

Good good movie, I particularly enjoyed the ending.

Anyway, there was a preview for a new movie, called 'Midnight Meat Train'... I thought they were previewing pornos now, except its supposed to be a horror/suspense flick. I was just awed that they are seriously titling the movie that and expecting people to take it seriously.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Lots of people have probably already seen this, but I watched Smoking Aces last night for the first time and loved it. Great action flick.

Also, watched 3:10 to Yuma this week. Excellent movie, IMO. Loved the ending, which suprised me a bit.

I watched Cleaner with Samuel 'Motherfuckin' Jackson, Eva 'Hottest Ass in Showbiz' Mendes, Ed 'Old Dude' Harris, and some others. This was a DVD screener, but I never noticed it in theaters if indeed it is even being released in theaters.

It was a serviceable mystery/thriller with a predictable ending, just the type of unremarkable flick Hollywood likes to trot out from Jan-Mar. The acting was generally good, and there was some cool editing, scene changes. Otherwise, it was nothing special, and, as noted, the ending was visible a mile away...

Whatever, though, it kept me entertained for 90 minutes.

Cleaner was recently in theaters here in the border of the world.

Watched The Crimson Rivers (Les Rivieres Pourpres) finally fully last night. A good thriller, although the bad English they spoke irritated me somewhat. What's wrong with French anyway (subtitles provided, of course)?

took my 8 y.o. son to see "Horton Hears a Who" yesterday. He thought it was great. I was more like 'meh' but tried not to let on. Then we watched "Bee Movie" on dvd. Similar reaction.

Watched "Deathproof" and "Shoot 'em Up" last night with the guys. We got stupid drunk, ate far too many chips and yelled a lot at the TV.

Great fun.

Watched 'Split Second' last night. Starring Ruthger Hauer. What a great film, and Hauer proves he really can act. The athmosphere is very much like in a similarly dark future vision of the Blade Runner.

Split second is an awesome 80s sci-fi/action film. I love the part where the monster sends Hauer a heart with its teeth imprint and we find out it's not a person.

BTW I was surprised when I noticed it was made in 1992. I too thought it was an 80s movie as it has the feel of one.
