I put myself through X-Men 3 again (the only real reason was for a good old perv at Wolverine). Goddamn, that movie is soooooo awful but all they need to do is get an editor with some actual skill and re-cut it. It would be virtually as good as the other two then. And they need to write a new musical score. It's the most annoyingly invasive score since Troy!

Basically you've mentioned the only decent thing about that movie.

If this sentence immediately makes sense to you, then yes, you will enjoy Walk Hard.

Going to see There Will Be Blood tomorrow and will report back.

Screw all this new stuff - I'm gonna sit back with the director's cut of Aliens. Maybe follow it up with Blade Runner.

If it doesn't hold up after twenty years ... it wasn't good to start with.

I watched I am Legend today. I really enjoyed it. I thought Will Smith displayed amazing acting ability.

I followed it up with Shoot em Up ...

I watched "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem" today. (Yes, I do have a thing for dumb action flicks)
It was entertaining for the most part, with some scenes that were just wrong, but also had what must be the funniest line I've heard in a non-comedy movie this year....

Just saw a trailer for a film called Jumper today. What the film actually ends up like is immaterial, anything that has a scene of a London doubledecker bus being thrown at Samuel L. Jackson in a desert is a must-see.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Saw St Trinians yesterday. Sure, it was a generally uninspiring film, but...

Watched No Country For Old Men today.
And While I thought it was a good movie all round, the ending was very unfulfilling, Which I guess was the point?

The book and the movie seem to share only a passing resemblance. The book's decent, the sequel's okay (Reflex), but I wouldn't make it a sticking point to read 'em.

That's exactly what made me love it to bits. Finally, a movie without a hollywood ending! I thought the whole thing was excellently done. Everything from the acting to the correlation with the book.

No begining, no end. It was excellent B)

Hancock also looks awesome. Although there seems to be some kind of correlation between movies I want to see and things being thrown that are not normally seen airborne. Whales at a yacht, buses at a Samuel L. Jackson... snakes at a plane?

Watched it last night. I must admit I was a bit thrown.

It was described a western, which in a modern sense I guess it is. You're right though, the ending comes all of a sudden. Sort leaves you staring at the screen for a few seconds.

The killer, sugar I think he was called B) , was really cool. That airgun thing he carried around with him has got to be one of the scariest weapons in a film... ever.

I don't see the use of the sherif character in the movie though. Was it just to have a running commentary on the savage nature of man and the hopeless fight against mans actions?

I guess. It was just the way it ended that threw me off, I was left always expecting more. I could think of other times in the movie that would have been perfect to end it. But I agree, its a really good movie.

Apt: I had the same feeling about old Tommy Lee, what exactly was his purpose.

I've been trying to watch The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, but its not out anywhere! Australia blows.

I'm 23 minutes into a crappy cam version of AVP2. The little girl dies, right? Tell me she dies. I don't care about the nightvision goggles/MacGuffin, I just need to know of her impending doom.
