The original X-men trilogy is a dark chapter we don't speak about but First Class and Days of Future Past were both solid films. Which made Apocalypse the more disappointing since it seemed like they'd found a formula.

Agree. First Class and Days of Future Past were really good. I was rage blinded by how horrible Apocalypse was. I apologize.

Haven't seen Logan yet. Heard it's really good. It's showing on premium cable right now so plan on catching it eventually.

Have fun and smile.

Deadpool is an X-Men movie, come @ me.

It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Mortal Engines looks like an ode to Reynolds' Absolution Gap.

Watched Logan Lucky. For a heist movie, it was absolutely adorable. Like every few minutes some cutie-pie stuff was going down. Really liked it. Also had one of the best George R.R. Martin jokes I've ever heard. I'd give it like a B+, but an enthusiastic one.

Sure. Did you want to finish your cup of tea and take off your monocle first? Maybe whine about your circumstances and social standing a little? What about gloves, do you need me to slap you with some gloves?

It was twenty years ago when a handsome and talented artist of a young man needlessly drowned in the icy waters of the north atlantic. There was room enough for him and the love of his life on that floating door. Sure her heart would go on, but his heart could have also.

So guys, as Christmas day approaches, make room on the door floating in your heart for that special someone. Be sure to have fun and smile during this festive season too.

I just finished Bright. I know it's already gotten a lot of bad press (which I deliberately haven't read), and that maybe after Suicide Squad the vultures are circling to knock David Ayer down another peg -- uncharitably, IMO, given that Training Day is pretty good and End of Watch is even better.

But I'm here to tell you, without prejudice, that this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It is SO much worse than Suicide Squad. The look of it is awful and cheap, the dialogue is insanely annoying even by the lowest buddy cop standards, the characters are universally paper thin (including the two leads), and the plot is a total mess. Almost everything about it was Grade-F awful. There is one short action sequence in a bar halfway in that comes out fairly well, but in general even the action is waaaay subpar.

On a 5-star scale, I give it 0 stars.

I've heard only bad things, unfortunately. I was looking forward to it. I'll probably still watch it soon.

I'm fairly sure this means I'll like it a lot.
