Dunno, though Valhalla Rising was a good little giggle...

Now that you mention it, Valhalla actually felt pretty similar to Drive.

Loved that film as well. Might just be the proud Dane in me seeing Nicolas Refn making a international film with Mads Mikkelsen.

Don't know if I'd say that Valhalla Rising was a giggle though. More like a Hamstring Slice compilation.

You're all insane. Refn is a madman. Lol

I think we've discussed him here before but Refn rose out of the 90s Danish movie re-invigoration.

When he made the first Pusher film it was probably the darkest and grittiest portrayal of Copenhagens underbelly that had ever been made. In an age where we were used to see book adaptions of dramas and comedy films in the cinemas, along came Refn and kicked the fucking door of the hinges.

I think he will always have a special place in my heart for that alone. Funny enough I have never gotten around to watching Pusher 2 and 3. I tried watching 2 a while back but it was just too depressing.

Just watched Hot Fuzz. I'd heard great things about this one but never got around to watching it since I reckoned it was just a silly British police parody. Turns out it's actually just a legitimately good film. It was surprisingly great actually.

I guess now I should go about tracking down that third Cornetto film. Worlds End I think it's called.

They're all aces. SotD is my fave just due to the genre it tackles, but each one pretty handily nails the comedy and the drama of the given situation.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Finally got to watch The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies.

What an awful movie. I enjoyed the first 2, and didnt care a bit about staying true to the source material, but i did not enjoy that.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Saw a horror film called Sinister. Mediocre. Plot was rather boring, protagonist was painfully stupid.

POWER RANGERS reboot costumes revealed in EW.

Looks great actually. Updated the classic look, but didn't lose the main aesthetics. I like that they put in the Iron Man-ish chest diamonds to keep the old diamond pattern aesthetic from the original show spandex suits, and the belt diamond activators are still present as well. It's also nice that since this is alien tech, the suits (according to the article) crystallize AROUND the human bodies, fitting them exactly (no complaints about boob armor...unless the alien tech was prepared to squish it all down) and that's a solid thing to specify as the original costumes just kind of appeared when activated. I hope there is a crawling CGI effect when it happens.

Can't wait to see what the Zords look like. So far I'm pretty on board with this.

Alien sentient costumes give wedge heels to the women. Gotcha. [Rolls eyes soooo hard]
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Do you realize how stacked a woman would have to be to require form fitting boob armor that large? It would probably hamper her unarmed combat skill development to the degree that she'd give it up entirely.

Just noticed the female rangers also have raised boots, because you know, high heel super hero boots are a must when fighting sponge people.

EDIT: Then noticed that was what Amphibian said 2 posts above.

Instead of this they shoulda made a movie about what Bulk and Skull's lives were like after flunking out of high school.

If they are wearing heels when the costume covers them...yeah.

Oh look, one of the two is.
