Not sure if this is a repost but here's the teaser poster for Vincent (Splice) Natali's film version of the iconic Cyberpunk novel Neuromancer
...
I really don't like it. It seems too... obvious. The iconic image of the Nikon-Zeiss implant eyes would have been perfect in my estimation, but I guess that might have run into copyright troubles.

Yeah, I agree.
and it seemingly cribs directly from Ridley Scott's DAVID promo for PROMETHEUS (where he shows a closeup of his thumb with the Weyland logo on it indicating he's artificial).
Natali has skill with indie work, I'll give him that...though SPLICE began well, it ended in a convoluted mess that was simply attempting to shock. I have hopes he'll do this right, but part of me thinks he was the wrong choice for director. I'll defo wait and see tho.
Coincidentally, his best work ever isn't even CUBE...it's the 5 minute vampire piece he did for PARIS JE T'AIME a few years back which starred Elijah Wood. It was whimsically wonderful and spooky at the same time. It showcased his strength as a director and none of the trademark sci-fi stuff. See it if you can. It's a great film anyways with only one or two of the 5 minute pieces being so-so...most of it is win.
Gah... i'm SO on the fence about NEUROMANCER being made into a film. It's a great great book, full blown timeless classic imnsho, but i'm utterly sceptical about how it can translate to screen, tho in part that's due to JOHNNY MNEMONIC flashbacks.
