Nice to see Transformers 2 on almost every single critic's list there.

I checked that 100 best characters list, saw Edward Cullen actually on there (at least he was at 97 or something), got bored, skipped to the top ten and stared incredulously at the number one. Also that Juno character is terrible. It's almost enough to make me forget that Rotten Tomatoes has appalling taste.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I think they're judging it by ongoing pop-culture impact, not necessarily likability. Unfortunately.

I must admit I tend to read comments by critics and readers rather than taking lists at face value. There's usually some decent snark going on there. :pirate:

I'd forgotten about most of these truly horrid little crap fests that dominated the past year. Gee thanks Sombra-buzzkill. So many of those might well even be worst movie ever contenders.

Glad to see that Transformers 2 was so universally loathed. Though Sherlock Holmes by no means turned out to be a great movie, listing it as one of the worst seems to me more of a fashion statement than anything. Mind you, one could argue that based on potential it deserves a low spot, but even so.

I saw "The Book of Eli" holy crap I loved it. Denzel Washington is ace.

Was a bit annoyed to see Ninja Assassin on a couple of those lists. I don't think there is anything in the world that is going to make me hate that movie...

You liked it? I thought it was pretty average with a terrible ending that when I thought back didn't make a whole lot of sense.
So, you're the historian who survived the Chain of Dogs.
Actually, I didn't.

It seems you stand alone.
It was ever thus.

Ok, so taking these two statements in unison, all I can get is this: Avoid Book of Eli like plague. And not some piddly syphilis or bubonic-bull plague, but like a mutated hardcore-horse-sex induced strain of ebola.

Good to know.

Above post, more than anything, proves that Transformers 2 was terrible.

The one that is still in kindergarten?

@Apt
OK, my more childlike aspects enjoyed it too. :pirate:
Although as one reviewer said somewhere "Michael Bay doesn't exhilarate you, he pummels you", or something to that effect. Especially after the last massive battle scene. When I walked out of Transformers 2 it was kinda like afterglow - without the glow.
Must be getting old. ^_^

I would watch a 180 minute movie consisting of nothing but Devastator gobbling up national monuments while fighting smaller robots and puny human beings.

EDIT: Just look at it!

Ah, now I see, your mind defensively removed all memory of the rest of the movie. Our minds weren't as fortunate.
