Haha, I've got too much time on my hands...

Last weekend was very Matrix filled
Matrix- First time I've watched this movie in 2 and a half years, about the 6th time overall.
Matrix Reloaded
Matrix Revolutions - Best to say something about these two togther as they can't really be seen as 2 separate films. The Wachowski brothers say that they intented from the go to be a trilogy. But it just feels like 2, Matrix & Reloaded/Revolutions... Do you think they changed their original vision?
Anyway... Why are these two viewed as really dissappointing? I thought they were actually very entertaining and the fight scenes were really fun to watch, is it because it really is just that? Too much shown? Poor ending?

Watched Pulp Fiction again, liked even more than the first time through as well. Posted Image

Don't think I'll like his next movie though and I can't see how his dialogue is going to show itself. It's called Inglorious Bastards if you wanted to know.

Managed to finish watching X-Files Season 1 a couple of days ago as well. Lovely season and show. I'm watching Season 2 at the moment.

I know I should of asked before but... Is it really ok to talk about films I've watched on DVD here?

City of God is missing the acting, dramatic nuance, and production values of movies like the Godfather. It's closer to Boys in the Hood and Harder They Come because of the setting, but even that's a stretch.

There's a similar feel to Goodfellas in that it is biographical narrative, but again Goodfellas is more dramatic whereas City of God is more like a documentary.

In short, City of God is Kids in the violent neighborhoods of South America.

For the record, I hate Jackie Brown. Deniro's character makes me uncomfortable as hell. Samuel L. Jackson annoys the hell out of me throughout the movie and I thought the plot was stupid. From Dust Till Dawn also sucks ass. I hate everything Robert Rodriquez touches his hands on (his movies have gone from somewhat interesting to really bad), even when Tarantino is involved.

Right, it's Shogun Assassin not Samurai Showdown. However, Shogun Assassin is a reedited movie from the footage of the first two Lone Wolf and Cub movies. They changed the music too.

I watched Farenheit 9/11 last night. Add that to the Holocaust stuff on tv and a tsunami relief documentary i watched the day before and I'm severly traumatised! Who said tv is supposed to be entertaining? Posted Image

I just saw Sky Captain and the World of tomorow and I must say that if i'd seen it in a cinema it would have found a place in my "worst movies of 2004 poll". It was horrible, just horrible. I wont begin pointing out all that i hated about it cause then i'll never stop and this comment will take all the room of page 34, and no one wants that.

Just stay away from this film for your own good.

i heard that Baz lurhman is doing a version of Alexander the Great with leonardo de caprio and nicole kidman or something. or am i wrong??? wouldnt be the first time.

am looking forward to seeing val kilmer in a new film. that hunk has been off our screens waaaaaaaaaay to long!!!!!!!!
really am not sure about colin farrels hair though.

the reviews for troy were bad but i loved the film so i'm not sure what to expect from alexander.

watched Quills the other day....what a load o' SH*TE!!

Pretty good flick.

Blade II- 5/10
****e special effects, but Pearlman rules

Batman is overrated, and the other films were trash.

Spider-Man 2- I caught the advanced screening of this a few days back, and it was everything I could've hoped for. Kills the first in every regard. 9/10
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels- I'd been kicking myself for not checking this one out for quite a while, and it is a very cool flick. Not a great one, but cool is the best word for it. 8/10
Snatch- See above, but it was even better I thought. Same great style with better performances. 8.5/10
Neon Genesis Evangelion: End of Evangelion- Wow. The series was unevenly awesome, but as it wound down it just got to be a series that really transcends what anime is, particularly the last two concept episodes. None of that prepared me for the POWER of the final film, because it is an absolute killer. Other than Akira and Last Exile (which are great for different reasons), this is the best anime I've ever seen. 10/10

I've also rented Glory and For Whom the Bell Tolls, so I'm primed to check em out. Posted Image

okay, forgot about it, but I've seen "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" a while back with my cousin and while a bit stoned, so I really enjoyed it! and it really is great, I tell ya! anyone else seen it? are there more films like that?

The ending was pretty weak, but I suppose it had to give some kind of moral message to the ickle ones... The next animated romp looks pretty good too. (The Invisibles, or something?)

I just caught "Ladder 49" which stars Joaquin Phoenix and John Travolta.

Holy hell, what a movie. One of the best movies I've seen all year. I normally don't get emotional from seeing a film but this one left a lump in my throat. Awesome movie.
