I watched Pitch Perfect 3. It was okay. I didn't love PP2 and this one even less so. It's just not particularly well made, I guess, this time including some of the musical numbers. The camaraderie of the cast does all the heavy lifting, and in some ways it's enough. Like if you're looking for a thin excuse to watch all these characters together again, it kinda works on that level. But it's also only 90 minutes whereas the first two were almost 2 hours, and it feels like you get less of them just hanging out. IIRC there's no scenes of them practicing, developing routines, etc.

SO good.

Tho i admit to a love for the SPIDERVERSE crossover which i thought was the bestest thing Marvel has put out in decades (that wasn't written by Hickman), and this sort of 'kinetic' style of animation.

Amazon Prime is streaming the rare, X-Rated cut of Robocop.

Netflix to produce new Chronicles of Narnia movies, TV shows.

Thought the current movies completely underwhelmed. Hopefully they can do more with the source material.

Yeah, at the beginning of the movie when Red Forman blows off Peter Weller's arm in the normal cut, in the X-Rated cut it's now a giant floppy wang that he blows off.

Gruesome stuff.

That'd be funny if that was true for all the changes. Miguel Ferrer snorting cocaine up his wang. Emil getting toxic waste splashed on his wang.

Venom currently 28% on RT. Oh dear ...

I've read it's going to be a movie that gains 'cult film' status. It's not good but Tom Hardy's performance is supposed to be waaaaaay over the top. I'll probably catch it when it makes the rounds on premium cable. YMMV. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The teenager in me really wants to see a live action Venom film but the latest trailer just looks like utter garbage. I am sure Hardy busted his balls to try and make that script work but Venom just looks so bad. Like Space Jam or Roger Rabit in a bad way.

S'funny because some of the early reviews on VENOM suggested it wasn't too bad, and there was me thinking 'not too bad' isn't going to fly with the comics fan crowd.

That said it did huge dollars opening weekend...$175mil give or take, so i suspect no one who matters cares.

If there's an essentially R-rated director's cut eventually I will jump right on it (even if it sucks), but a PG-13 Venom is definitely not a priority.

If you rearrange the letters to For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, you get Carnage Woeful All Fun Rag. Coincidence?

WOW

Also, people like Apt who think a long trailer shows too much...beware, this is 5 minutes.

This is probably the best I've seen a DCEU movie look, and probably the closest they've ever gotten to the MCU vibe.

Conversely, this looks so bad I think even Apt would give it the thumbs down. A werewolf movie with ... Lindsay Lohan! :)
