Tellan, Ment has told us what the town is. It's in the opening rules posts. There is town. They have victory conditions. This is just making me think you are definitely NOT town.

I'm deflecting from Serc? Because you are saying there is no town, when Ment capitalized the word in the opening post? You claimed no mention of there being town, Tellan, and now you're getting defensive, and throwing out stuff to try and make you look more active. And as for Sabbat being able to recruit, are you forgetting the two other factions whose sole purpose is to survive? Yes, this is a cult game, but there are scum, and it IS town vs scum. Elsewise why bother labelling one team as town?

And as for lacking a sense of irony...well...I DID say I found it amusing...or are you misreading again?

There are multiple factions, and one can probably recruit, based on the wording. As far as I'm concerned, that means there is no town or scum. It's my interpretation - we're in a Cult game, and should behave appropriately. Ment's wording is irrelevant, because saying "Town" is the same as saying "Inno," and what the hell is Inno in this game?

And you missed my irony - I pointed out that making massive cases on Day 1 is suspicious ... just like making no cases on Day 1 is suspicious. Everything on Day 1 is suspicious. That was the joke I was making.

Sorry mate, but I think you are losing it a bit. Liosan found a slip and I think you are backpedalling, yes this is a cult game, we get it, however in order for this to be cult and not a merc game, we need a town/inno faction and that faction is the Anarchs.

And what is the appropriate behaviour exactly?

just before i catch up, i spotted this statement.
You think there is no town?

Its pretty obvious the anarch is town to me from the intro and winning conditions.
interesting that you would have this point of view!

Hmmm, you know you're in for a tough game when the mods CONTRIBUTE to the spam instead of fighting it :D

I can sortof understand where Tellan is coming from, since the anrachs, cam and baali all have the same winning condition - eliminate the other factions. I think the number of players and role distribution is what makes this a town vs multiple scum game, rather than a merc game.

What I dont get is that from everything I've read up I would have pegged the Baali as cult, but I guess Ment decided differently.

Well, I'm done.

A few thoughts, because there's a lot to assimilate.

I don't understand the hate on Serc. He wasn't spamming, he was RPing, which I like and is very justified, specially in the first 1-2 pages. The votes came quickly.

Shadow expressed his massive displeasure of spam in his first posts, but went on to be part of every spam-discussions, from the douchebag to the Goodkind. He's either an hypocrite or just typing just to post without really meaning what he's saying, which is scummy.

Barghast's attempt to make the case on Serc "serious" annoys me, like mentioned by someone else, over-justifying a vote is suspicious. I see the WIFOM point he has, but still.

And the last vote by Tellan (even though P-S mistakenly registered it as a vote for Barghast) is strange for the reasons Liosan pointed.

And since the votes should be 3-3-2 (not 2-4-2 as the mods announced) I'll

vote Shadow

For inconsistent play, being a high spammer while starting the game on a spam-hate attitude, and for constantly shifting the heat on Serc for, ironically, RPing.

Victory conditions:
Anarchs (AKA: THE TOWN) remove all non-anarchs
Camarilla: Be the last ones standing
Baali: be the last ones standing
Sabbat: Achieve majority.

Game will commence once all PMs have been sent and on my next post.

Hrm...I seem to see, capitalized, the word town...in the opening posts...

Methinks Tellan is either a Baali (hence trying to make people not think in terms of scum), or he is a Camarilla (trying to make people focus on the cult aspect). Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Oh, and as to this ... calling one side Town doesn't make this any less of a Cult game. We have multiple factions, and I strongly suspect Sabbat can recruit.

You're deflecting from Serc.

This is not a simple cult game. There is strong evidence that there is a cult present but there is also 2 killer factions that could also be seen as a merc type game.
Its not as clear cut as you are trying to portray.
And even if it IS a pure cult game...there is still Town in a cult game. Town is who the cult recruit from.

I find it interesting that you think to make light of the fact that there is no town.
Everyone here will claim they are Anarch's since that is who we are all supposed to be portraying...the ones hiding among us are the scum.
Why dont you see this?...because you are not town...thats what i think.

We are standing in the Anarch hall (or watever)
We are all supposed to be anarch's.
There is other cults hiding among us.

Whats not to understand?? winning conditions are just tougher for the scum as they no longer need majority (not that it matters because once they have majority then no one can lynch them)
But i suppose its not majority becasue the other scum can still kill them at night. So it makes sense that majority no longer is the winning condition...unless there is only one scum group and Town left.

I would just like to point out that spamming while RPing is not RPing...its disguised spam.

RP'ing is PLAYING THE GAME while role playing.

NOT spamming shit while role playing...just lost an hour of my life catching up.

Actually, after more assimilation I'll change my vote. It took longer for me to realize because it's relatively new in the thread, compared to Shadow's antics.

I'm talking about Tellan's comment of there being no town or killers when it's written in the opening post.

I don't know about you, but the first thing I do normally is to check what the opposition is, so I can't imagine he would have failed to see the mod's all-cap clarification of who the town was. That was mentioned before.

The other thing is that what I think he meant is that "the scum team is not normal killers", and once again how could he know that without reading the opening post? I think he got this info from his own role PM, which must clearly state "minority team" while not being "night killers" as he know it from experience. Hence his post.

so,

remove vote
vote Tellan

I can see someone getting slightly confused is if he himself is not Anarch.

Well I believe that this case against Tellan is the strongest case that you will get on day 1...
If he self proclaimed that there are no town nor scum, that leads me to believe he is scum. He also believes the game to be a proper Cult game.. doesn't really sit right with me..

Not going to be around for the rest of today and our lynch candidates are 3 spammers or someone with what looks like a slip.
So while I am not a fan of spamming, the slip looks more damning than any of the other arguments.

I voted for Serc because he annoyed the crap outta me with the whole "you don't talk enough blood" posts. Ofcourse I am willing to go for a better case. In my earlier discussion post on Serc, which Silanah conveniently missed, I stated that Serc's rp is wifom, but that I believe that it's more likely that he's scum than anything else. But it's definitely wifom, which leads me back to looking for a better case.

Shadow is a good place to start looking, mostly because he going after Serc a little too unhesitatingly, almost like distancing. Tellan case is even better, with the cult comment.
