Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

She has us to help her from getting bored..right! Er...so that should last half a day, OMG you're in trouble Tehol! I recommend fast food all the cable channels and a gigolo to keep you amused...

Whats this I found in my pocket...

Oooh look it says: "Frookenhauer, Gigolo at your service, clean breaks welcome!"

I'm here for ya Tehol :p

You're welcome to be my gigolo frookie! Although I think your duties are mostly going to be fetching meds and water and helping me hobble about! Something tells me that's not what you had in mind! :p

Will he be cooking and washing in your steed.

Is he qualified for that? I seem to remember him handing in his man cards at some point so he might be a plausable substitute

The other half had surgery on his cruciate knee ligaments a few years back when we still lived together. At the beginning when he was in hospital and just got home, I was giving it all "I'm going to be the best nurse in the world". About 1.5 days into preparing all of his meals, getting every drink, helping him keep his knee dry in the shower, remembering when he needed medication and sleeping on the sofa I was all for starving him and leaving him to fester in his own filth. He would ask for a drink and I'd be all "You had one 3 hours ago, you don't need another one yet". He still reminds me how awful I am today!

Yeah I've got Frook's man card in my wallet, I don't quite remember why we took that from him to begin with. Someone must know.

QUOTE (Stalker @ Jan 23 2009, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

I've checked the meds they've given me demorol and percoset which should have me really out of it for the next while!

@Frookie you would have to do the dishes and the cooking! We can discuss the rest later based on your performance

@Maccy Those are not just womanly duties!

Thank you everyone for making me laugh and being so nice! :p

Oooooh, they gave you the good stuff! Hopefully you'll post some crazy shit. More likely you'll sit zoned out staring at a turned off t.v. though.

Oh gosh! That's terrible. There has to be some way you can blame Starbucks for this; I mean, if their coffee wasn't so delicious you wouldn't be in this mess. Think of the lawsuit! And those juicy damages... You know it makes sense.

Transatlantic commiserations nonetheless. And I'm sure we all wish you a speedy recovery.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. They gave me demerol after my appendectomy. Apparently I'm allergic to it and it nearly killed me. Be careful with it!
