What do you think of it compared to the MW2 feeling you were chasing? I'm curious since that was my favorite too (along with COD4 and BO2). My copy should be coming soon for 360, so I'll get to see myself. Almost went PC, but I'm glad I didn't as the port seems horrible.

Its close to MW2. It isn't MW2, but it's close.

My main complaint is that a lot of the maps are big enough that you could cut them in half and have two maps bigger than 'normal' COD maps. They are huge, and 6v6 on a lot of them ends up timing out because it gets very difficult to find people.

I've put like 2-3 hours into it so far, and I'd agree that this is my main complaint too. In order to be competitive at such range, one almost needs to have a sniper or marksman rifle too. Plus, it can take forever to find people.

I also dislike removing all the game modes I played- headquarters, hardpoint (I know it was treyarch, but it should have been added), and the classic S&D. Search and rescue is cool, but pub lobbies have devolved into long range sniping. People don't plant, don't defuse, don't rescue teammates, it sucks. I bet it would be better with a team, and once the launch window is past, but I don't enjoy the changes now.

That said, I do like the new game modes. Blitz is probably my favorite, but Hunted is also great.

Oh man! I just got the KILLCAM on Overlord with my Grenade Launcher! It was fantabulous! . . . +1. It still has a ways to go to impress me.

I got this on release day (Wife pre ordered it) and I've been off sick so I have had a good play.

I've only ever played black ops 2 properly and I think that ghosts trumps it hands down. Yes the spawns can be a bit 'what?!' but the maps are really fun.
I agree there should be bigger matches but ill get over it.

My biggest gripe is with hardcore. Im a hardcore player but again they have not given us more than a couple game types so I feel forced to play core. Although between this and blops2 core is better in that you don't need a full clip to take someone down.

My favourite part of this game however is extinction. By Jove it's bloody fun, I'd recommend you give it a try if you can. It's zombies but less repetitive and with a purpose, oh and better haha.

Apologies for bad grammar I'm writing this on my phone

Forgot to say. If you haven't got access to extinction just play the first campaign mission and it will unlock

Or hit level 5 in MP. But yeah, extinction is my favorite thing so far. I've been having a blast playing with 3 friends. Almost managed to extract but got bogged down by aliens, left my team to die, and died myself. They were pissed but whatever.

I'm also really enjoying the campaign. Non-stop action with some great set-pieces and a cool story. I do think the difficulty has been dumbed down though. I only play on veteran and this has been the easiest of them all, so far. I don't die much compared to the others and no area seems to be hard enough to warrant multiple attempts.

Still not loving the multiplayer though. I'm starting to like it more, but I have a new host of complaints to go along with what I said yesterday. I think the biggest problem stems from the fact that no one ever joins matches in progress when I am playing. In every single game where my team has quit, or we start a man down, those players never get replaced. This has led to tons of objective games that are 6v4 or worse.

I found a new favorite "make people rage" class for hardcore, as I enjoy playing more when I know the other people are getting mad. Take a shotgun, any shotgun, and use slug rounds. In hardcore, they are a one shot kill at any range. Seriously. The reactions when they notice the shotgun icon up top are great (though I wish they could see kill cams too).

I'm also glad to see S+D return!

I'm beginning to get tired of the campers.

I've been focusing on objective based games like Team Death Match, Domination, Search and Resque, etc. and I'm seriously getting tired of seeing my team mates just sitting in corners or in windows taking shots at what ever might happen to run by.

It's frustrating to be losing, having the highest capture rate of both teams and seeing that few of your team mates have done any of the objectives.

At this point I have begun to harass them as much as I can. I will get in front of them and duck and jump to obscure their view until they get mad and run away.

EDIT: Just got an idea. I am going to start taking smoke grenades with me into games and throw them at campers.

Stalker, if you want to make people rage use a Bulldog shotty with muzzle break + extended Mags. Also use fast hands, reload whil;e sprinting and Marathon. then play cranked and watch the Rage build up.

I must say my sole dissapointment in this game is like BLOPS2 is the lack of HC game modes. I play with a group of friends and we were all HC players who primarily played Domination, but since Ghosts we have pretty much all migrated to Core and it makes us sad. One redeming factor of core though is the time to kill isnt rediculous and you dont need a full mag to drop somone now.

Anyone playing Extinction? Must say deffinately better than Zombies, just prestiged and i still havn't managed to extract.

Oh please. Want to make people rage? Equip a silenced Chainsaw with Stalker on, and just run around ADSing. Play cranked that way. People will lose their shit.

Also, search and rescue is a lot of fun. Get like 2 enemy tags in the same place and just camp it to add to your delicious tag collection.

I have not unlocked Stalker yet. One thing I dislike is having to accrue enough credit points and wait to unlock perks. I won't be prestiging. Unloss someone argues a case for me to do so?

Prestige is different in this one. Once you 'prestige' everything is unlocked for that soldier. That's all. Unless I'm completely missing something. Once you hit level 60 you need like 10k more XP and then you 'prestige' that soldier.

Oh that'd be good, so you prestage and the perks are unlocked. That'd be awesome.

They already are. The perks are unlocked by leveling, or you can spend squad points on them. Everything you purchase is for that one soldier only.

What are the advantages of the different soldiers then? I have two soldiers on the go at the moment, and use different weaponry for them both.

As far as I can tell the only real reason for the multiple soldiers is that they are used in the Squad games. If you level up multiple soldiers and give them better gear and perks they will fight better and be better at protecting your HQ from other players.

Also you could specialise each soldier to a different class. Like making a sniper soldier that has all the sniper riffles unclocked and all the percks and equipment meant for sniping.

Then the next soldier is perhaps meant for run and gun tactics, like capturing and holding positions so you make him fast a versatile.

Next one again maybe a heavy.

I've got mine setup for different game modes.

So I have a:

Solo TDM soldier
Team TDM soldier
S&R Soldier
Domination Soldier

And a couple others unlocked I just picked random specializations because I have tons of squad points atm.

How are you getting so many squad points? What is the difference between TDM soldier solo and team?

I think because I am at such a low level I do not have that much choice at the moment. Also, are tactical insertions not available? What about claymores?
