It looks like a really bad adaption to me. Sort of like when they made Double Dragon or Mortal Combat.
But at least it looks ike there's going to be plenty of shit blown up.

Keep in mind that it looks like this is early Dragon Balls history. All those you are mentioning come later.

Meh, I watched most of the Freeza saga, and bits of the Maju Bu one, didn't see him get defeated.
That was pretty much the extent of my DBZ viewing.
Apart from watching some of the fights on Youtube. Which pretty much skips the need to watch about 10 episodes when you see a 10 minute fight from between say Goky and Cell or something else. They talk too much and don't fight enough.

Piccolo was the original enemy of goku until he was defeated. First later came freezer to the world and became the new main villian.

I posted some spoiler pics I had blagged of the new movie in Terez's thread of yaoi discussion, so go scan through that for my posts to see some pics of Piccolo, the dragon and some kind of lizard-faced Oozaru Goku thing, particularly since they were removed from all the websites they were posted on by the film company. Funny how all the names come back when the opportunity for pisstaking presents itself, doesn't it?

Yeah I saw this a while ago and was like this is going to be screwed up.
I know it isn't DBZ but Goku has a fohawk!!!!! THAT IS WRONG! We need a better Goku and stuff, I will see it anyway I think but not expecting too much.

What the hell is the difference between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z? Seems like shades of horrific Japanese gray to me.

Asian women... for some reason they are just super fucking hot all the time. I might never watch this movie..., but if I did it'd be because of these women.

yeah picollo was the original baddie in dragonball. joined the goodies after goku killed himself when picollo killed gokus brother to save the planet or some nonesense. used to watched this show after lectures on cable back in mybum uni dyas.

Watching all the Otaku rage at the how unfaithful their precious anime has been portrayed.
The pictures opposite are from Fate Stay Night (or however they decided to write it) the girl being King Arthur (reincarnated with all his memories) and the androgyne being Gilgamesh.
When you confront the Otaku about this, like the fact that Arthur is now a woman and that it basicly breaks the tragic key stone of Arthurian legend, they say "Oh who cares, the art is cool (which is very debatable) and the story is fun."
Then something like this comes along, and they start crying about a character being badly portrayed and being changed on every level.
It is sweet ironic revenge.
