New Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer

I just saw it yesterday and my opinion pretty much runs with Apt's and DW and whoever else is in that camp.
One thing I will say, though, is that while I doubt another Transformers movie would be a prequel, I desperately want it to.
I grew up watching Beast Wars(never saw any of the original Transformers shows) and I really want the next movie to take place back when the Transformers first found Earth and built the machine. The original landing could be like how the Beast Wars started, with Optimus and Megatron having a space battle where they both hit Earth and have to take local animal forms to survive. Basically, I just want to see Megatron as a badd ass Tyrannosaurus.

i would have to push someone off a very tall building if they put dino's in there that are not the dino bots. ( i enjoy life way to much to jump myself, but i think someone would need to die for it) If they did a beastwars storyline i would be very very dissapointed. I still have yet to see megatron turn into a gun and fly into someone's hand to fire at prime. and as you well know that happened in about every other ep.
and hot rod needs to get the matrix so he can become rodimas prime anyways

Just got back from watching this... Fuck me, that's a bad film!
It's overlong, incredibly stupid, crass, incoherent and borderline offensive in parts... The very worst thing about it is that it's not even visually inventive, something that might have saved it. I wouldn't have thought a film that primarily consists of giant robots fighting and shit blowing up could actually be so incredibly dull. I now have a 2-and-a-half-hour hole in my life that I really do want back... And I think I may hate everyone involved in making it.

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. My expectations were already low, but... Damn, this movie sucks so much that it isn't even worth a proper rant. I want 7,30 Euro and 2 1/2 hours of my life back...

you know, i can't recall a film being this divisive on the forums before.
sure, there are films that one or two love that the rest of us balk at, but this one is pretty even going so far as to
numbers for and against.

You do not posses the testosterone levels to truly appeciate all that mindless violence.

FAIL.
You sir, have failed. In an epic manner.
This movie has explosions. Lots of them. It also has an incredibly hot woman in skimpy clothes featuring heavily. I simply cannot understand what you dont like about this film. And if you even try and say plot I will slap you in the testicles with a turbot. PLOT IS NOT RELEVANT WHEN THERE IS FOX AND 'SPLOSION-ROBOTS.

I just like to goad you normally.
It's fun!
But this is a serious issue. And I will not endure horseplay and tomfoolery regarding serious issues.
Plus, you're from the Land of Bacon. By default, I agree with you on the philosophy of life.

no apt, there was no mindless violence what so ever in this film.
I recall not one splatter of blood. All I saw was a load of rushed robot fight scenes, that were to fast to enjoy or appreciate, and a load of explosions with the victims conviently disapearing/ (note second part the far more common) timely diving out of the fucking road.
Only a robot car crying, that all the spilled lifeblood we saw, that scene will be nominated for the gayest scene at the oscars btw. They're creating the category just for it.

The movie was pretty epic. I mean c'mon, robots, explosions, Meagan Fox, Shia LaBeouf nearly dying on set apparently. This film had it all. Except a plot.
Still absolutely awesome. Nostalgia Critic also does a review of the movie and its absolutely hilarious, but the site seems to be down right now.

shia the bufty getting torn limb from limb by the decepticons, now THAt would have partially redeemed this film.
Megan fox getting them out, would definately have helped.

OK I'm in the "This film was kick-ass who needs a plot?" camp, but those two additions would have been even more incredible.

Does that Lamprey remind anyone of something else that definitely shouldn't have teeth?

Just got back from seeing this...
Pros:
- Megan Fox
- lots of explosions/mindless violence
- cool CGI
- some good laughs
Cons:
- overly long
- lacked any semblance of a plot
- not much originality, basically a re-mix of the first movie
Overall:
Worth seeing on the big screen, but not as good as the first one
