no apt, there was no mindless violence what so ever in this film.
I recall not one splatter of blood. All I saw was a load of rushed robot fight scenes, that were to fast to enjoy or appreciate, and a load of explosions with the victims conviently disapearing/ (note second part the far more common) timely diving out of the fucking road.
Only a robot car crying, that all the spilled lifeblood we saw, that scene will be nominated for the gayest scene at the oscars btw. They're creating the category just for it.

Would you watch a movie where a deranged serial killer kidnaps girls in the park, spanks them violently, pours acid on them, electrocutes them, rapes them and then strangles them non-violent? Because that could all be done with no blood being spilled (unless she was a virgin...)

thought the movie was quite dull really. and the cg looked woorse than the first somehow witha few shots having little or no shadow effects so the robots just seemed greenscreened in. also some of the "humour" was mind blowingly crass. I didnt mind the racial stereotyping that much because despite the furour currently about it, it was so bad and i mean so thickly laid on that i just cringed at it and wondered what its purpose was.

megan looked stonking,a s did the weird fembot and every other girl in the college was amazingly hot. I actually left as soon as the last fight ended, so if there was soemthing redeeming after that i missed it. best bit was the fight in the forest, but it was so telegraphed it was ridiculous. also why does bay always put these annoying buearocrats in his movies and think they appear threatening or add something. they just dont. also the whole he hasnt said i love you crap, seriously if you were going out with megan fox (or anyo woman) you tell her what she wants to hear. I have never met anyone who actually thinks like that in real life. ever.


overall a big pile of shit, but it did pass the time. one memorable scene surrounded by a lot of drivel, lot of drivel.

I have to admit, the information put forth in the way they are in that Q&A the plot holes and basic idiocy is quite alarming.

Doesn't change the fact that the film is funny and entertaining though.

Devastator alone was worth paying the cinema entrance.

Yeah, I loved the film, but I was well aware of most of those plot holes at the time. But I cant recall ever sitting down to a Michael Bay film and thinking "I hope this has a well-thought out and coherent plot, without any pointless explosions, interludes, characters or military hardware." If you want that, you're fucking stupid for going to watch anything he makes.

Do I go to the ballet and expect to be entertained? No. Do I go to the ballet? No.

I expected - cool robots, Megan Fox looking hot, a ridiculous amount of 'splosions, and the odd occasional humourous line. I;d say it pretty much delivered on all fronts (especially number 2). Thus, great film. I love The Rock too, doesnt change the fact half the plot is stupid.

Saw it last night, but I dozed off before it finished. Was quite amused to read this in the Q&A Apt linked:

Not that it would have made the movie any worse for me if I did see that, but I didn't think I slept that much. 10 minutes tops. The whole movie was just an endless progression of bland CGI robot fighting. Seriously, it got old after 5 minutes. 5 minutes. That is quite an acomplishment. Worst movie of the year.

I'm starting to suspect that Macros expects a good plot even from porn... geez, take a chill pill man. a movie isn't something to get so worked up about.

D'rek, I'm not equating blood with violence.
There was no violence in this movie, there was no moment where you "oh holy shit thats gonna hurt/ wow he just got crushed by a 17million ton megatron (which should have happened to pointlessly included again character number 34)
Now I'm not the blood thirsty type, I don't watch the beach sequence on private ryan over and over until the disc burns through.
I really don't

But in a film in which the premise is lower fleshbag humans and their do gooder robot allies, verse evil souless robots.
I expect a bit of mindless violence, considering the decepticons were content with the idea of wiping out humanity.
Somebody somewhere in the thread mentioned robots/ violence/ hawt megan fox.
I took umbrage, this was not a violent film, the closest thing we got to violence was shia labouf being so unmanly I wanted to go and throw the projector out the fucking window

You actually see quite a few humans being torn to pieces especially by Soundwaves minions. I believe the molecular thin one slices straight through one guard.

The testicles were the wrecking balls hanging from one of the decepticons that formed to make Devastator. And that was an AWESOME scene.

No, it further retardation.
My opinion of bay was low after the aging decepticon's fumbling in the museum, it dropped right to the bottom of the challenger deep after the balls scene.
Robots are not humans.
They no NOT need organs, they do NOT cry in pathetic scenes squirting what one assumes is brakes fluid out of its "eyes", they do not fart comically (and sorry, before you say it, that part was not "hilarious" it was cringe worthy tripe) They don't grow silly metal beards and start doddering about like a deranged old pirate.

They're not strictly robots, though. They're sentient robot-like creatures. It's not naturally the habit of human females to wear make-up, but society dictates they do. Transformers living on Earth might replicate human traits after awhile too, to try and fit in or just because they see it enough.

What the fuck am I talking about, Im actually debating the anthropomoprhic qualities of fictional robot-men.
