USA! USA! USF! UFL! UIA! ESA! WSA! WAS! WAT?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Both of these two amongst others have cracked me up with their awesome pics, delivered at the exact moment to do the worst damage. I suggest a 'pic off' between the two and see who's the best...Or anyone who thinks they can take Apt on, cos Bubba has been on a lot less recently.
I think this idea will rock...
Actually I don't think I've asked the two..never mind they'll see it soon enough

Did you hear me and Stalker had a post-off?
A pic-off is too vague; there must be rules.

I like the 10 best format. We have 2 people picked, they post their 10 best, we vote on the winner. Then we have another person challenge whoever won. It would be very difficult to win many in a row, because by say the fourth challenge you'd be down to your 40th best picture.

Or maybe using the top 10 pictures to make some sort of shortstory. Linking them together with maybe a few lines text to connect them or something, could be very awesome if used right.

The Awsome pics thread is already full of reposts and we have the find a picture thread and the gallery as well now so it seems a little redundant to just say post your best pics - the chances of them posting something we haven't all already seen is slim. There definitely needs to be some other factor to make this interesting. I like the ideas of a specified category or a group of photos that are linked (maybe to make a story). Also, you could try and find the best 'in thread' use of a picture - something like an appropriate use of pedantic bear (although maybe something a little more original). Of course, that would involve digging through a lot of old threads to find something so could maybe just be open for anyone to nominate a thread then narrowed down to vote on.

We come up with a generic theme/storyline, they have 10/15 pictures to tell the story.

First.
Abyss went to go see the new president and didn't get the reception he was hoping for.
Second.
RLY and the boys just before the big Mosquito hunt. (RLY will get this one)
Third.
What Bent really looks like.
Fourth.
A Tehol nightmare.
and just some random NEW pics.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."
I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Actually it was my idea to make a short story, if you read the thread. Not to be an ass or anything, but I would like credit for the few great ideas I get

I've a feeling this might get ugly in a real hurry...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants.
