A black dog is sleeping in the middle of a black road that has no streetlights and there is no moon. A car coming down the road with its lights off steers around the dog. How did the driver know the dog was there?
And now im off to sleep, so just post another one if a sensible answer is given

Its the Day.
A doctor and a bus driver are both in love with the same woman, an attractive girl named Sarah. The bus driver had to go on a long bustrip that would last a week. Before he left, he gave Sarah seven apples. Why?

Your age!
There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?

if you can remove any letter you want in a random order, it could be a number of words, as long as they contain either A or I, which are the only single-letter words there are in the English language...I think.
am I right in assuming this?

Haha, yeah. But it's an oldie that remember from school. 1 brainbox came to our next English class with whole A4 sheet of 9 letter words, broken down in steps to single letter words. He didn't have many friends.
