So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."
I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

It's before the ass kicking, lol. But yeah, the ass kicking was awesome. Unfortunately, the ass kicking is the only scene of that movie I can find. The scene right before it where Janemba beats the shit out of Vegeta on his turn, and Kakarott comforts him as he bawls in anger and shame...so gay...

It was after right where I started it - I started with the fusion dance, which preceded the ass kicking. You just weren't paying attention when it panned out to the solar system, apparently.

I saw sparkiles that fanned out in what MIGHT have been considered a heart to those that dearly wanted it to be...I just think you're reaching a bit too far here. Just because you want it to be true doesn't make it true

Ha, it wasn't even me that pointed it out - it was one of my guy friends. And everyone agreed that that's what it was. Though I do remember it being a bit more obvious when we watched it - perhaps it was shortened or sped up in the English version. I'll try to look for an original version online, if for no other reason than to get the Vegeta crying scene in Japanese.

Since we are talking about one of my favorite childhood shows, just not the gay part. Which I refuse to believe exists.

No worries Stalker, there is no gayness in DBZ. Terez is just fantacizing and trying to see things that aren't there.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

This may be what we're talking about
But it's more likely to be this
I always find it amusing that the people who really go for the guy-on-guy shipping, whom all the yaoi is marketed at and who write most of the guy-on-guy slash are heterosexual women.
It's like they've got this fascination with gay men because they just can't have 'em... And I am well aware the rationales put forward about straight women finding gay men far more attractive and interesting because they're allegedly more open about their emotional lives than straight men and also more interested in the kind of things that hetero women are interested in than straight guys... In other words more like them than straight men are.
Which would seem imply a certain amount of narcissism on the part of the hetero women who do this...
Which, arguably, is a similar reason for why many straight men get on very well with lesbians...

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. What was that about lesbians? I wish lipstick lesbians really existed, and kind of liked men as well. These are far more interesting topics than anime.

Ha, I love this quote from the second link:
link said:
So there's these two guys, right? And they spend 95% of their time thinking about each other, what the other one's planning or doing, and whenever they converse their dialogue is incredibly emotionally charged. Fortunately, there's a nice family-friendly explanation: they're arch-enemies, right? Right...
lmao...and the DBZ quote from that link:
link said:
Vegeta from Dragonball Z certainly seems to have this level of obsession with the main character Goku, although it isn't shared. Also of note is that another villain, Freeza, is prone to this in the US dub, both being voiced by a woman with a raspy old lady voice (like a flapper?), and using blatant sexual innuendo towards Goku.
- In his 'defense', Vegeta's obsession might have more to do with how a prince is weaker than a commoner.
- And while this
isn't canon, it demonstrates how fan-made Foe Yay can be awesome.
Here's that thinly disguised S&M I was talking about. God I hate the English versions sometimes but the Japanese version of this is I think worse, lol. I hate that they cut the beginning of this fight, though, where Vegeta cons Goku into fighting him by destroying a stadium with probably 100,000 people in it...

Indeed, indeed...but I don't actually find real life gay men to be attractive, usually. I like my men to act like men. Like Goku and Vegeta.

I can't access that, but from the two messages I read I can only assume it is Jason Lee's tirade to Ben Affleck in Chasing Amy about how just like Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, lip-stick lesbians don't exist? I love that movie. And, the whole fisting topic comes full circle... happy endings are fun.
