Mentalist, if you want to post somethingto flesh out your character you can have two posts against a mdae up character or anyting else you like, you have 2000 words as thats what everyone else will get with their 2 posts.

once everyone wrote their placeholder, i'll whip up an arrival/pre-battle scene to give people some idea of my char's weapons.

and a 1-round warmup fight, since my sponsors won the bidding and got to choose the weakest opponent to arrive.

Anyone wants to give some pointers of what happens now? Do all the fights happen simultaneously? And what's the "intro" post that should be ready next week?

Sounds fine to me Ment. Write what you like so long as it isn't any more than the rest of us get. Can't believe you got all the judges on your side already!

JA, the intro now is the first post for the round per character. Read Deathmatch III. I am doing my characters prep and then entry into the arena, maybe first contact with his opponent, depending on what Illy writes. My second post will be plain old fighting I guess. You need to write enough to give your opponent an idea of how to write your character in their posts - weapons, traits, that kind of thing

In terms of time, as soon as your placeholder posts are in place, you can get writing so long as it is in the right order with your opponent. We may as well do the fights simultaneously since some people can get held up which would stop the whole thing.

More or less, they all happen at the same time, but we post 'em in order of the list. So, once Illy, Mezla, DiBs, Cause, Grief and Temp have posted two placeholder posts each, then you and Tapper post two placeholder posts as well (alternatingly. I forget how you pick who goes first if there is a system). The post is just there to hold your spot so everyone can upload their writing without waiting on a single person.

As far as what you write, you only write your fight vs Tapper, and you can pretty much do it however you want. If you're going first between the two of you, you'd probably write a bit that's mostly your char prepping for battle and entering the arena, then Tapper would write his char prepping for, going into the arena, seeing your char and starting the fight, then you'd pick up where he left off, continuing the fight and he's pick up where you in turn left off, continuing the fight some more. The end of the fight should be ambiguous as it will be decided later who won and who lost. It's two posts each so think about your pacing as you go.

The player with the highest votes from the Intro's. So Illy vs me - Illy goes first. Individual fights are at the discretion of the two opponents, so you change it if your opponent agrees.
