being a judge and all i feel i should give some decent feedback, i was too busy last night so
Yellow - Emilio Estevez ( entertaining read, and i like the thought of fighting against billy the kid, repo man and steretypical jock. The dialogue and writing were top notch too, pity you pulled out.)
Tapper - Violence (pedestrian of the apocalypse) - very funny and looks like its gonna be a handful, my only complaint was the CAPITALS, as its a writing contest

but have me worried, pretty awesome.
Shinrei no Shintai - [] (spider boy) - eek, scary stuff, and love the creepiness of the fella and the atmosphere in the piece. gonna need you to go first if we fight though, gotta try and figure out how a spider boy fights

but i expect good things made great after this!
Mezla Pigdog - Fantassy Kleesh'ay (cliche farmboy-turned-prince) - very funny piece, flows like every fanatasy book we hoped we never read, like wheel of time landed on starwars and lord of the rings. Best name in the game as well
Bauchelain the Evil - Shade (assassin-mage) - short and brutally efficient liek the character. the ending was a good touch and the dialogue was strong.
Morgoth - Ben Doran (leprechaun) - cheeky fucker

liked it though, nice scene building, and funny when it meant to be which always helps. The writing was strong and well thought out.
D'rek - Lippmer (alcoholic haunted by dead wife) - Interesting character, opening up avenues good oppurtunities for development int he story. I have a soft spot for drunks as well, all the great characters are DRUNKS!!! will be interested to see where you go with it, but a great start!
Grief - Ambir (bastard brother of typical prince) I was torn between this and ment for my favourite, really excellent stuff. a strong back story and good angst to be used in the tourney. really impressed.
temp - Ariel (high alchemist) - nice twist at the end, and enjoyed the misdirection.
alt146 - Chanfar (super-alien) - i fear for poor martin if he has to fight this thing

really strong writing alt, and a good layered backstory.
Jump Around - Duke Nukem - what is there to say, its duke nukem

gotta throw out some of the classic duke lines though
Mentalist - Oleh Bury (war hero) - really enjoyed this, i thought it started strong and carried through with the extended dialogue at the end. the character was interesting and engaging, great stuff.
Illuyankas - Mansplitter (mantis shrimp transforming robot) - Another great piece, and whether intentinoal or not i thought it was funny. The captian and his crew had great interaction and everyone felt fleshed out. the character at the end is frustratingly original and should be very good in the tourney
Cause - Captain Gershon (super-armoured war dude) - I liked the way it was a letter instead of a story, set it apart from the others. a lot of good strong imagery as well in the writing. Like the sense of bitterness in the end, where the tone changes between pride and horror and almost disgust at his being used.
Sir Thursday - Samanth Sandstorm (nanobot-possessed girl) - an interesting perspective to write from but it worked, there was a sense of exasperation and helplessness int he narrator that added to the story. the wee links to rodeo in the opening was funny and the character itself is gonna be a toughie. Leaves room for more back story and the possibilities in the fights should be entertaining
