Since SE has not given us a deck of dragons (in the index) lately,
lets speculate on the new positions and who might hold them

House of War
Torc-bearer>Picker

(I think that karsa has got to be in there some where)

I don't think Torc-bearer would be in there...by some other title, i mean. I dunno if Karsa'd be in there, because technically he isn't affiliated with High House War. Mind you, it'd be a great relief if he turned out to be in there, because I am convinced his Knighthood in the House of Chains will bite him in the ass one day. On Topper-the CG offered him a position in his House-I bet he would have been fool. Let's see, what else? Vorcan was Queen of Shadow, right? Now she'll be able to fufill her duties, whatever they may be...

Le's hear some more ideas, it'll be very interesting.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Deathslayer is the CG, kairuf. And that card isn't a House.

I can see Heuk becoming Mage of Darkness. I wonder who will become the new Knight of Drakness? Silchas Ruin, Nimander?

With Toc the Younger going back to the Wolves of War maybe we'll get a Herald of War position, or maybe he might fill the Mercenary position..

I can see Clip getting recruited by the CG as Fool. That would give the CG an in with the Tiste Andiii.
Possum is another one I can see getting recruited by the CG, He seems to have cracked during the ROTCG finish. Possum might be rather slow mentally but he does have some assasin skills which could be put to use by the CG.
Yath( if he's alive) with his insanity and drive for the Malazan empires destruction is another one. The position of Magi in Chains is open after all.

Given that Trull managed to become Knight of Shadow without knowing it or caring about it, It would not suprise me if Apsalar has become Queen of Shadow without trying.

Where on earth have you read or seen it implied that Vorcan was Queen of Shadow? I have never seen that hinted :)

I'm wondering that myself. Maybe from Tiserra's deck reading?

And while we're baselessly speculating, I think the City card is going to represent Lether now! [/sarcasm]

Don't look now....but I think i read it on Encylopedia Malazica.

Those are some very sleuthy predictions, Urizen...I think you could be right with Yathengar...but we don't yet know if Clip is free from the Dying God's influence. And Possum...dunno about him.

Who holds the position of Hound? We never found out.

Didn't the Dying God hightail it out of Clip when he came face to face with a returning MD, only to to get embraced by the Redemer?

Do you mean the Hound position in High House Shadow or have I missed such a postion in another House? Beacuse the Hound position in High House Shadow is held by the Hounds of Shadow and are one of the first positions we learn about, way back in GOTM

I just thought since the position is "Hound" it would only be one HoS.

No idea on the Dying God question.

BTw, I was on Malazica, and I looked at the Deck of Dragons project. Are those new positions (i.e. Apprentice of Shadow) legit?

People, there is a difference between a metorphorical reading of the Deck and actual positions in a House.
I keep coming back to the reading in DG, Kalam was identified as the Rope in High House Shadow, does that mean he deposed Cotillion? No, it was a personal reading of the deck for himself only.
Don't get too hung up on the other Readings, until SE gives a new appendix, I don't consider any changes set in stone.

The most recent positions was from RotCG. If I recall correctly:

Queen of HH Life: Queen of Dreams
Champion of HH Light: Osserc
Soldier of HH Light: Kyle
King of HH Death: Hood
Knight of HH Death: Baudin
Soldier of HH Death: Seguleh Second
King of HH Shadow: Shadowthrone
Assassin of HH Shadow: The Rope
Knight of HH Darkness: Anomander Rake
King of HH Chains: Skinner
Knight of HH Chains: Toblakai
Seven of the Dead Flames (HH Chains): The Unbound
Reaver of HH Chains: Kallor
Cripple of HH Chains: Munug
King and Queen of HH War: Togg and Fanderay
Hunter of HH War: Treach
Guardians of the Dead (HH War): The Bridgeburners
Obelisk: Burn

Those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head...

You are forgetting King of Night: Draconus
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Is King of Night = King of Darkness ? Or what house do you mean?

It's a tittle brought up in RCG.

It created a lot of confusion. It is not known if it was Draconus.

True, but it was Draconus before it exited the Deck.

I think you could add Hurl as Builder of HH Light as well seeing how she's refered to as Builder and HH Light is the only House which has a Builder position.
For the moment at least, Thordy is Mason of Death.

I very vaugely seems to recall Rake being refered to as Lord or maybe king of Night in GOTM by Hairlock or maybe Tattersail
