Well done ep. The bits with Amy and Rory in the TARDIS corridors were especially creepy.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

So any ideas on “The only water in the forest is the river.” ?
Some are suggesting it's a reference to River Song.

They sort of killed Rory again. They REALLY need to stop doing that...like now.

Indeed. This was actually something started by the Master years ago (1976 I think...which would be Tom Baker's 4th Doctor era methinks). The whole 12 regenerations thing was a sticking point and he was a husk of a man on his 13th and final life until The Master figured out a way to flip it and get 12 more regenerations after he exhausted his first 12...by swapping his help in the episode THE FIVE DOCTORS (from Peter Davison's era) the Time Lords gave him a second set of regenerated lives...
So totally do-able and I'm glad they've addressed it now, so he won't have to be stopped at 12.

It's in reference to the line Idris says about having archived 30+ control rooms (before they go to Tennant's era control room), some of which haven't been used yet...hinting they are control rooms from past AND future versions of the Doctor.

Or that multiple people have used the tardis, it is second hand remember. Don't go off the fanboy hope rails.

The scene goes
The Doctor "I've only changed the desktop, what, a dozen times?"
Idris "So far!"
The Doctor "You can't archive something that doesn't exist yet!"
Idris "You can't!".
Definite statement that it's in the future, definite implication that it's the Doctor who changes them.
I don't know why this whole "will they continue past Doctor 13" is even a debate, though. There is utterly no chance that the BBC will allow one of their flagship shows to end because one writer years ago decided this number. Possibly there'll be a story out of it, but chances are they'll just handwave it or pretend it didn't happen.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Multiple people have NOT used his TARDIS. This is the Doctor's TARDIS. The Master is the only one ever to steal it from him and that only briefly and he didn't change the desktop theme when he did so...the previous owner (the timelord the doctor stole it from) a timelord named Marnel had only just got it when the type 40 TARDISes were new when the Doctor stole it. So he used 1 desktop theme likely.
It's not fanboy hope at all. It's common sense. why would others use the Doctor's TARDIS and think enough to change the desktop theme? A process that clearly involves a lot of time for the TARDIS to be on its own...

Doesn't it say that he stole it from a museum though? As in long past old and used? As in had previous owners?
I don't mind having said some blatantly wrong, and being corrected, but we know 100% that the tardis was barely used previous to the museum?

I thought his TARDIS was secondhand when he stole it and had previous users, but maybe not. I'm curious so I'm going to look it up. Shall report any findings.
edit: so according to the Gallifrey Chronicles novels the timelord Marnal previously owned it. This is probably no longer canon, yes? Doesn't seem to be anything concrete on the net, just speculation that could go either way. The quote was something like the TARDIS was old enough to be in a museum, not that it had been in one, I think.

So is there a means to this madness in discussing episodes? I don't want to go spoiling it for others left and right, but I also REALLY REALLY REALLY want to talk about the latest episode (two parter with a week break inbetween....ARE YOU FRACKING KIDDING ME!!!!!).
But really I want to hear some thoughts on

Enjoyed the latest ep. To borrow from Jacob in Lost, I guess Moffat's found his loophole, ie
@Gust_Hubb - I say post away and use spoiler tags where you think appropriate. People behind in viewing should know not to come to the most recent posts if they want to avoid spoilerage.
My two cents on your question - possibly Amy's role in re-conjuring the universe has made her very central to events. Possibly she stands at some sort of paradox, which is why she's having a Schrodinger pregnancy. This would make it very important to monitor her, so that explains the woman peeking in.

But who is the woman? I mean, the timelords are thought of as managers of the universe, right? So is there another overlord species?

It could be that somebody survived "outside" the death/reboot of the universe last season. They exist outside Amy's reborn universe - as such, they have been placed into a de facto monitoring role.
Of course, my general ability to predict this stuff sucks, so I'm sure the revealed answer will be totally different.
