I'd like to point out that this:
has been one of my fave moments all season so far. Twelve can be so analytical, that when he steps outside that and allows himself a little glee like this....gods I love it.

What did you guys think of this past weekend's episode?
I really liked the idea that the trees have been saving Earth during all its existence! And I think this is the first time that I actually believed the Clara/Danny relationship, and truly liked Danny as his own character instead of an extension of Clara.

Oooh, I just read something very interesting on the comments on the Tor thread about the episode:
Quote
Regarding "To: British government. Re: Announcing that some organization called COBRA is going to go around setting things on fire. Message: WTF."
As soon as I heard the word COBRA, I immediately remembered hearing it. Only it wasn't from DOCTOR WHO. It was from TORCHWOOD. In the 3rd season (the one with Capaldi as John Frobisher), COBRA (Cabinet Office Briefing Room A) is where all the major decisions are made regarding the 4-5-6, and where it is decided that "...John Frobisher's a good man. And better than that, he's expendable."

I liked the tree episode though I figured the trees were saving us plot quite early on. Though I think the main point of the episode was to show the progression of Danny/Clara. Which u think will be very important next week -looks like a Clara focused episode.

I don't give a rats' arse if the rest of the episode/story is shite, but after the opening act of Deep Breath, Peter Capaldi is now officially the best of the NuDocs by a country mile.
Actually, it goes like this:
Peter Capaldi
daylight
daylight
daylight
more fecking daylight
who cares about the rest?
EDIT: for the record, I grew up with Tom Baker as my Doctor Who, so of course he's #1 over all.
OK, that episode was cool. Can't wait for Part II. Nice pick up after the sheer mess of Moondragons and benevolent triffids.

Just re-watched Deep Breath and picked up on something that may add a bit more credence to Missy being the Master. Right when She says "welcome to paradise" She is standing right beside a Very familiar looking column. It may be nothing, but I thought I would throw it out there.

I'm still not sure how no-one noticed all the skeletons inside St Pauls Cathedral, but aside from that, ace episode! Completely misleading beginning too, I thought the post-it notes were going to amount to something, and then maybe Clara knew something more which is why she was acting so weird at first...
The line by the Doctor, "Do you really think I care so little for you that your betrayal means I won't help you" was flipping ace!

That was ace, but the 'go to hell. No, I mean literally, let's go to hell' was a bit contrived and very 'Simon Cowell-on-X-Factor'. Bit unsuitable for the moment and not in a way I think suited even this Doctor.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

I feel they still will.
Two of them said "Three Months"...if those are things she was wanting to tell/confess to Danny...I think three months means preggers.
