Hear, hear! I couldn't agree more. She got what she deserved. Too bad though that Mallick ended up in charge... If only Mael had ganked him when he had the chance.

Damn, I forgot Taya Radok killed Laseen...means Mallick Rel finally got tired of playing the second-in-command. At least he got rid of Dom, but that's probably only because he didn't want to share power.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

I think that would have been a bad choice in the long run. Yes, I know that Korbolo was a wild card and not exactly very talented, but he was probably the closest thing Mallick had to a loyal commander.

I wonder how Nok will react when he finds out Laseen is dead and MR is in charge.

Probably similarly to how he reacted when Laseen took charge from Kellanved. Vague indifference.

that just begs the question, what the hell is Nok's deal? is he on valium or does he just really not care what happens on land?

just to clarify something, Nok is a Rebel to the Throne and Laseen at the beginning of ROTCG, right? Korbollo mentions him and why he doesnt just invade Quon Tali and Laseen makes an excuse for where he is, but the last we saw him he is with Tavore and her rebelious army right?

And another thing, it wasnt that Tavore didnt understand what Laseen was planning it was that she wasnt going to surrender her loyal Wickans and gods know who else Mallick and Korbollo has named as traitors to satisfy the mob. Seems stupid to alienate Tavore when it was she who possesed the ONLY proven army anywhere near the Quon continent.

No, He is in Laseens good graces throughout ROTCG. He is keeping things quiet on the Seven Cites continent. Korbollo's idea is for Nok to leave Seven cites in order to strike the Talian league from the sea. A good solid idea if you want things to flare up again in the Seven Cities.

Bingo, Tavore saw fine what kind of shortsighted scheme Sociopath Surly and Mad Mallick had going on.

I know Laseen makes it seem that way, but I thought NOK is down in Lether with Tavores Rebelious army during ROTCG...

Nope, at the end of TBH Tavore makes it clear that Nok stays with Empire. The extent of Nok's involment with Tavore is that he lets them get away when Tavore and 14th sail off to Lether.

Does any one see another Civil war coming ?

Mallick vs Tavore ?

Well...they are on different sides of the world.

But maybe at the end (assuming they're both alive and well) maybe she'll sail back in at the head of a gazillion ships and milions of soldiers and ships with cannons. Still, i think Rel will be bumped off before then. Or vice-versa...

but as we see it is not Doms army, it is stilll Tavores...I was responding to someone who said Laseen put up with Dom just because he had the only serviceable army near the Quon continent. His army was completely eradicated before he was shipped back to the empress. He didnt have Jack shit...

No, He's never seen at all. I don't think he's even mentioned..

It'd be awesome if the 14th got some Letherii recruits... teach them how to FIGHT PROPERLY.

I think in both BH and RG it's foreshadowed that Tavore and the 14th have left the Empire never to return.

Well, someone has to return, because isn't Grub with them? And he has to come back to be the First Sword.
