Normally I dont try think too much about high TMDI games, since you can almost never guess what's actually going on. I think the only thing i know for sure is that Shadow is Mentalist, due to his celebrating crazy Ukranian Christmas at the moment (Where is actually from? I thought he was Canadian for a while cos he's such a nightowl).

Anyway, he's piqued my interest, since he definitely knows more than I do, and my attempt to find out how failed, meaning he has some sort of special role. His claims at not being a leader sound sincere, but I cant really be sure. I think he's either Republican or MA, which has me worried about whether I should put pressure on him - if he is in my faction he obviously has one of our better roles. He tried to push a theory that the Julii are a far larger faction than all the others, which has met with some opposition, based on the cf results so far. But even that doesnt tell me much, as he could be in either faction telling the truth or throwing people off track (depending on which is actually bigger - I doubt we started equal) Knowing my luck he's Brutus and I sound like an idiot.

So how's things going in spoilers?

Unfortunately I'm still too poor to afford decent whiskey (got me a bottle of Grants smile.gif) but I've managed to wangle my way into a couple of tasting evenings. Jameson 18yr is awesome, as are most of the Islay malts. I get the impression that Morgy has access to slightly better stock than I do.

EDIT: nice to see the convo... I had a chat-per-PM with Yellow, but I fear that Hetan would go crazy if it ever was published... it basically evolved around all kinds of stuff he found on urban dictionary. The hot buttered elves he cites somewhere are also from there...

I completely agree. Personally I hate reveal fests. Hate HATE HATE them... But I also like to fake reveal... Cause that is fun...

Well, yeah. Like I've said before - if there's only a few roles, then people don't reveal unless they have to, cos they would get killed (or they fake reveal to avoid getting killed).

In a game like this, you can just reveal your role, and it proves your argument. Nobody will disbelieve you. You can just slap your role on the table, and that's that. It becomes a bit of a foregone conclusion. So that removes the tension.

In games where everyone has a name, like Lost or Heroes or the Ghostbusters game, you can't fake-reveal, cos you know that someone out there has that name already and they will call bullshit on you. So that removes the fun.

I think from now on I will probably just play normal games and merc/cult games. The others lately have been a bit too focused on matching the source material rather than the game. I think it's a fad though, not exactly the end of the world, and after a while we won't have to specify "do not reveal" in the rules. It will just happen naturally.

Anyway, I'm not bitching about that, just my thoughts on it.

I think that will be my preferred ending. Although, in all honesty, Gavin has played an excellent hide-and-seek game so far and deserves to see the end-game.

You are not allowed to reveal this to anyone (including Mockra), or mention that your powers changed.

Passive Power: you gain 1 BP.
Night Power: once in the game, you can recruit 1 player to your faction.
Night Power: kill a target player.

You can use the recruit and the night kill in the same night.
You can use your kill power and your regular information update in the same night.

But you cannot use all three in the same night.

Brutus' ability here says that it's active when he dies.
MA role says 'upon use of the ability'.

The first was intentional, the second was published.
So, since decided to give Casca the Longinus powers, I all rolled them into one.
Since the Brutii had 2 or more recruits (not counting Longinus & Casca) at the moment reveal, probably not every Brutii will get the one-time vig, but instead Casca would gain a 1-time recruit. I updated him on that.

Should Brutus live tonight, or should other Brutii die first, I can always take that one away.

Heh. What happened was included in some plans. For others, this was going nuclear. For others again, they were disturbed in their sleep whenn they thought they had a good chance at victory and stood down the levies.
