i dont think Hethe and Moby have any connection at all, Hethe seemed to me to be some sort of manifestation of the houses will. thats Shadow House, which is not an azath. notice that when he mops up against osrics foot and gives him absolutely no regard ST relaxes completely?

Perhaps it's just a crude affectation regarding his High Priest's band of furry worshippers...

After reading RotCG, I've had a theory that Iskaral Pust is D'ivers bhokarala AND a Soletaken giant bhokarala too. Totally fits - the coordination, the antics and the worship.
- amphibian, still trying to turn into D'ivers poison dart frogs.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Maybe those trees in the shadow forest is the material you use to "build" an Azath house?

Secondly, the forest is in the Shadow realm.
"As those trees are to the Azath, so is this forest to Shadow. None who enter escape
...and this raises an important question - what could be so difficult, or important, to imprison that an entire forest is required?"
Dol D'Avig, Mage, brother to the count, escaped less a leg; Rillish escaped apparently unharmed; Nether and half of her horse escaped. So "None who enter escape" is not an absolute, at least escape to IW is possible.

My crazy theory is that Resuthenal = Queen of Dreams. It has no explanations.

I thought that Resuthenal is actually Lady Envy's "real" name - the description of the woman who appears to Kyle is so much like Lady Envy. As the scene is described as a memory it would make sense that the one they "remember" in their conversation would materialise (so to speak) in his dream. It'a wild theory, I know.. and I think I like yours better

er.... where do we find out that she is human as I've been looking for evidence of that and all I can find out is a reference to "a sorceress who ascended to become the Queen of Dreams."

IMO is Shadowīs forest reflection of real Azath in world - so STnīC uses them to travel from their wandering realm. Well, this I understood from RG reread...maybe Im wrong. I usually am:)

In one of Kyle's dreams he seems to be seeing Anomander confronting Osserc in front of what could be a budding Azath house in Shadow, Osserc saying something about it being alien. Interesting scene.
