Your idea as to how to make it useful was very divergent from my own. In retrospect, I wish I'd pushed for a vote to Night, just to see if anything gets triggered overnight, or if we individually receive information.

Keep in mind that we have two Daykills, and gained nothing from either. What would tossing a lynch in have accomplished? Nothing.

Me too. Wait, What?

... which one are you?

And are you going to get drunk enough to let something slip, like whoever (Ment?) did in the last game?

I would have voted for night. My frustration wasn't at a lack of lynch but at the lynch of JA.

Mods don't drink and never post drunk. It is a know fact. Nor does a certain fellow from Norway post drunk, or certains fellows from the Ireland or South African or America or Australia non of them ever post drunk. That is a horrible rummer started by RLY "The Hater".

It will be interesting to see what happens tonight. If we all wake up tomorrow and nothing has really changed, then I really don't know what direction this game is supposed to be taking.

Off to work!

Oh please. What, you would have preferred three dead inno's on day one? Really?

At the least we would have had one lynched all by ourselves, by choice, with a train.
You're conveniently skipping that, Thyrllan. Oh wait, we have JA's train.... :D

That aside, with no CF, we may actually have 2 dead scum right now, for all we know.
Bloody unlikely, but possible. I'm with Korlat in that it isn't the end of the world, but I must agree with Emuhrlan that as far as day 1s go, this one didn't have what team inno should have: a train to investigate.

Regarding the Korlat-Gamelon debate:
Gamelon, do you like being blind? Do you want us all to be blind? Do you trust that we'll be enlightened by the mods for some reason, some point in time? If so, why? Where do you suspect it will come from, if there is no CF and it says so in the rules? When there are no clues but there are multiple, seperate kills during the day? When the mods say the game could be over within a week? Doesn't that mean to you that we have little or no time to unite as team inno? That staying blind could well mean we stay blind until the end of the game? Which might approach fast?
Don't you think that with a fast paced game like this, scum profit from chaos and blindly stumbling innos? How do you suggest we identify scum? And, since the mods apparently confirmed we can discuss winning conditions, don't you think that that is a big clue that ehm, maybe, we should?

Your refusal to discuss the game and the possible solution to it, which starts with goals, is very scummy to my mind. Not only does it completely bypass everything we know up until now: that two people died during the day, it also is the application of a standard to a game without any standards or precedents and I think that only the scum can benefit from chaos. Perfect scum tactic to use the mores of a standard game to his own ends in a non-standard one.

you all missed one of the biggest points, i didnt want to bring it up because i thought it was obvious. We have no coroner finder, but we also have no role revealing which means no finder reveals, not even fake ones. We have no way of knowing until the game ends any players alignment. The only thing we can discuss is winning conditions.

What are trains going to tell us exactly? We do not know if those lynched are good or evil, who was on the train just shows who has a need to lynch, nothing else.

Paired finders could reveal their partner's finds, as in: I know X is a finder, he investigated Y and got alignment Z.
Far fetched as it gives one own's role away in a way, but without actual revealing, so I think it isn't a violation of the 'I can't reveal' rule. Speculation of other people's roles is allowed. Lastly, you can protect your actual partner by naming X as partner when in reality it is A. It's a fake reveal, but once again, not of your own role.

Of course, that only goes for paired finders.
As for trains... They're not relevant right now, but they will be when our numbers are lowered even more. Order of votes, number of voters who died, they may or may not point at connections and symping. I agree they're more circumstantial than usual, but they still carry weight.
If only for a finder if there is one, to look for triggerhappy people.

if i was a mod and said no finder reveals and the pairs did that, i think it would be modkill offense. Clearly bent has an idea about what way he wants the game to be played.

No, the way for a finder to reveal (I'm pretty confidant that revealing a partner won't be allowed), would be to tell us in one post that they think someone is a killer, then claim finder and get modkilled. Yeah, we lose a finder, but we get a find.

Fuck, even that is risky, because a killer could do it if they feel it will give them a win. :D

Hmm, grey territory. Were I mod, I'd allow it, but I guess that's me. The 'partner' could be a lover, a lover-finder, a lover-guard, a lover-whatever, a symp, or just totally and entirely fake.

The reveal post might get deleted, ever thought of that? As the reveal is against the rules, the post is technically illegal.
EDIT: the same happens with nekkid posts, after all.

Also, I'm not saying in the reveal: X is my partner, he's a finder...'
But presenting it as speculation: 'I think X is a finder, he investigated Y and got Z as a result'.
Anyway, I'm sure if there is an actual finder, he's in correspondence with the mods about how he might be able to get the message across... Is coding your role for example allowed? We don't know.
