Not long to go now, just read the entire thread, took a while, as we are across the pond it will be a while for us too watch it, so I will be looking at your reviews or comments on it on here, I usually like to buy the series as a whole as I hate adverts and i'm very impatient

Just to explain, I would prefer to watch the episodes as and when I want rather than once every week at a set time.

I understand your viewpoint. I, however, refuse to be shackled by timezones, borders and waiting time. I won't go into details, as that might (I'm not saying it does and if anyone does, I'll deny everything!) be less than acceptable by the standards of the so-called "social contract" (Again, any accusations that I'm doing anything wrong are simply filthy lies and vile propaganda)

are we talking about streaming from the internet here? Something that may not be ethical?

I refuse to comment on this question due to matters of possibly missing future freedom!
Besides, what are ethics anyway? Aren't they something we define as we go along? Something we make up as patch-solutions to new and unexpected problems?

I don't know what wait it is you're referring too for us Brits - Game of Thrones debuts on Sky Atlantic in the UK less than 24 hours after showing on HBO in the US...

sweet. What is Sky Atlantic? If you have the basic sky package can you view it on there or do you have to purchase the extra channel?

Even so if this was something like LOST, 24 hours would be way too long of a wait. This won't be as bad for most of us because we know what's going to happen, but I think Primateus hasn't read the books (read the books damn it!)

NEVAR!!! As in; Why would I read the books when I can indulge my lazy nature and just watch the series?

I just never expected to find a lazy reader in the Malazan forums. Also you know, "the book is always better," etc.

Yeah, as far as I know, it's their newest "basic" channel, so included in the main package. I haven't had Sky for 4 or 5 years though, so I can't say for sure. They're basically the UK's outlet for American shows - shows like Boardwalk Empire, Battlestar Galactica, Curb Your Enthusiasm etc on there at the moment, judging by the constant adverts for it on other channels.

Hey, I'm not so lazy that I can't read one epic series. But two are simply asking too much.

The Sky Atlantic airdate is Monday 18 April 2011 at 9pm.
Sky Atlantic is a basic channel package until August. What happens then is unclear, but apparently it might be boosted up to the 'Entertainment' pack.
