Im not sure he would get sylars identity.
After all, so far he has shown knowledge of a night action, or something, not of anyones roles.
Although I can see them being rather useful.
For example, we get knowledge that sylar has a provisional on xxx, that means xxx isnt sylar.
So it could be rather useful.
WQhat I mean is, if Sylar kills Serc/Isaac, and there is spillage of this ability unto the game thread. EDIT: That would be somethign poor old Sylar would dislike, I assume.
I figure Serc is doing a bit of game theory. The company definitly do not want their decisions anounced for all the world to see, so they'll want to either recruit or kill Isaac.
Sylar will surely want such information. It could be important for him to pick what night power to use where, so he'll try to kill Isaac i think.
Peter will not want Isaac to fall to Sylar, and he'll have a chance to recruit a new member to his cult.
The result. The company will just capture Isaac instead, preventing both Sylar and Peter from getting him. Serc joins the company and lives.
Serc said he had a BP, so Sylar can't kill him tonight unless he bypasses BPs, in which case, why even grant them?
I agree on the trying out of theory and with your scenario. However, with Isaac as a company pawn (something Serc has been actively fishing for), he's also still able to vote, which becomes dangerous later on. The Company gets a majority right now at 9 people, and it is the safe (not necessarily best) estimate to say they are currently 4 (the Bishops, Noah, Haitian). If they can continue recruitment, they'll grow towards a majority soonish (the more NKs, the faster) and both Sylar and Peter are no closer to victory, apart from knowing now that Serc isn't Claire or Sylar/Peter. Not exactly an even deal.
Secondly, the rules say that a captive of the company can still be killed. Sylar could simply bide his time, pick a different target tonight on which his kill will not be wasted/ rescued and then come back for Isaac night 2 or 3. There's nothing in the rules that say you lose your powers when you're a company member, just that you are unable to use them... so once again, Sylar could kill him when captured and get the ability. I'm not sure if the BP is temporarily disabled while under company control, but it might not be (being passive and all that).
Finally, as said, Serc was angling for recruitment and named it 'the best play'. Those of us who have seen the series also know Isaac was an addict who got off drugs under company control, something Simone wanted, something he wanted, but he couldn't achieve by himself.
I think this could very well be an alternate victory condition being pursued by Serc here, but I might be tilting at windmills.
