Could happen at some point. I think JAs best as a symp. At least, he seems to enjoy it, form our conversation. DiBs and DK seem notorious as killer partners.

we were playing a game which was same setup as 31. only we didn't know there was a cult.
one of the teams got really screwed over, (Culture), we had the day 1 lynch on one of ours, then our leader stood up to argue against the lynch, got pnointed, thean out poisoner stood up to defend him....
basically, there were 3 lynches in a row of the same faction.
and they were led by these two alts, Karatallid (JA) and Olar Ethil (dkt), who were defending this guy SIlanah (Skywalker). they were all the eater faction. so, the last faction leader leader-vigged Silanah.
and the game wento on, with this Karatallid leading a hunt for the Remaining Culture players. somewhere along the way, the cultist recruited Olar (dkt), then got FM-ed by q21, who thus got to play TWO outside roles,
the FM then recruited Yellow, the last Culture symp, bringign that faction down to two--me, a healer and new leader, and Lokiman, the "gaurd" . obviously, I had no Idea I only had one symp left.

Long story short, we got to a point where it was like 4 eaters, 2 cults, 2 Culture and 3 Iridians, but we still knew nothing about the cult, so we thought the eaters were about to win. I had to reveal as Culture, got an Eater lynched, than that night, the Iridian original leader Anthras (Silencer), leader-vigged me. by that point JA figured out who was the iridian leader and claimed iridian, and hten managed to even lynch the REAL Iridian guard (vengeance).
In short, he did such a spectacular amount of lying that we proclaimed him "the weasel", lol.

yeah.. that game was EPIC.
looks like the weekend's hitting the game hard as usual.
it's a good thing I skipped out, cuz my ROTCG, which I pre-ordered for mid-September finally got here.
I have a day to finish it, then tomorrow, to write my essay/catch up on 3 weeks worth of readings.
Mafia would've been total overkill.

lol, sounds like an awesome game. I think the setup of the 17/31 games allows for some really awesome play. I know I had fun.

yeah, it's a good setup. Very well balanced, as long as you can avoid modkills.
it irritated me a bit that I had the exact same role twice, though,
and I have never ever up to date have been a vig in a Mafia game

Yeah, I loved 31. Although I did have one of the better roles to play around with.

By the way, i've been wondering how practical it would be to implement a modkill for posts, as well as a time limit. Because all the "posting to avoid modkill" really irritated me in 31. Almost as much as the modkills themselves. I feel that if you're not going to contribute at least a bit, you houldnt really be playing. Ok, a couple of busy days is fine. Every day with 2 posts each? Thats just pointless.

Yeah. Still, the most important thing about that sentence is the bit about "we got venge" .
I was quite scared for some time, because I was worried that my only symp could've been FMd. Cause he was rather under the radar. That had me very scared. Until we got venge.

That was my only "scum" role.
Havent played vig.
Only roles ive had have been triad and healer(which I died day one anyway, so never got much of a chance to use)

Roles seem rather fun though.
Its got really slow now though.
I wish the weekends didnt slow down so much. If everyone who has been on had voted, we could probably be in night by now.

Yeah, Veng is confusing. I think Lace and Veng would probably make good accidental allies but their set against each other. When the chips are down, Lace has no back-up, so if we have to make a choice, we should probably support Veng.

The Dude's posts about the killers being older members was just fantastic, I hope it convinces more loads of people!

My style is risky, but its a perfect counterpoint to yours, no one could connect us at this point!

Yeah, Tapper and Gem were essential in lynching Alt, we should keep em about a bit longer. But DiBs is too damn clever. He sees something wrong with morgy, and Morgy actually is evil, and he was even suspicious of me briefly, much earlier.

Edit: Here is a possible scene for starting night. Feel free to make up your own, add to it, etc. Make sure to add the CF and lynch scene. If people start assuming things from the night scene, or suspecting people because of it etc, remember to remind them that there are no hints in the night scene.


Everyone on the dance floor is suspicious of everyone else. Disco-Gem groovily sits, funkily rocking backwards and forwards, before standing, and taking a can of spray paint drawing a large pony on the wall, which almost looks as if it dancing. DiBs jumps around, enjoying the day, although it is impossible to tell, with the lights always on. All there is to go on is the mysterious voice through the speaker systems.

[Here add in the lynch scene]

The lights come on, and, the music system starts up again, disturbing the eerie silence it had left when it had faded away.
It is immediately recognizable.
Night fever, by the Bee-gees.

So I jumped on Silencers vote on Tapper. The timing of it was all wrong - which suited me. As wrongness might earn me some brevity from people on TEAM EVIL and ensure I had no further votes. I was one or two votes away from a lynching yesterday and appear to be in safer territory now. Tapper thinks I failed in my diversion. Well since I voted for him, I have less votes against me as a consequence - so not sure what tree he is barking up there.

1. He is trying to make me react against this and switch votes. (This would be in keeping with my game so far).
2. Or he genuinely wants me to keep the vote on him and off Gem. But it always comes back to Morg/Veng.

I want to see Gem and Morg lynched - not out back behind the fire escape - I want to see them lynched on the dance floor with the song 'I Spy' by Pulp playing in the back ground:

At its heart, mafia is a conflict between two teams - a small team of people who know each other, and a large group of people who don't know who else is on their team. Both teams want to remove members of the other team from the game until only their team is left. There are two ways a player can be removed from the game - either by being voted off by a majority of players during the day phase of the game, or by being "killed" by somebody (or somebodies) at night.

Because the small team has the ability to kill people every night they are usually called the assassins, or some variant of that. And because it's generally agreed that making a habit of nocturnal murder is, at best, morally dubious, the opposing team are usually called the innocents.
