Went to order Mrs. QT a DW T-shirt from Her Universe (this is the girls nerd t-shirt apparel site run by the girl who voices Ashoka Tanno on STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS) which were available as of today.

The shirt was $28...which is a BIT steep for a t-shirt, but I was okay with that. Then it calculated the shipping...from the States...to Canada...and it was $34.99! Wait, wait, wait...are you telling me that for ONE T-SHIRT they are gouging over $60! Are you effing kidding me? On what planet is this considered okay?

Especially considering that I frequently order shirts from QWERTEE in the UK, and RED BUBBLE in Australia and neither one of those EVER has gouged so much on shipping. In fact I think I get the Qwertee shirts for around $3-4.

GROOVE SO MESSED WITH by such greed.

Jesus Christ, I just saw a Nike advert for some pair of new shoes and they had a montage of game related scenes climaxing in, instead of Mario climbing a series of ramps and avoiding thrown barrels to reach Donkey Kong, the shoewearing guy running up slanted scaffolding on a building and avoiding burning basketballs thrown by a huge black guy HMMM SEEMS TOTALLY LEGIT
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Left the mini-meetup at the SF airport, got off my train, walked half a block and these fucking 4 hoods fucking try to mug me. I was ready to give them whatever they wanted until I backed up into the light and realized their guns were fake.

Which I made the mistake of calling them on.

Well the one behind me tried to fake-pistol whip me, which I narrowly dodged by accodent. I still went down, but I got the one in front of me by the sweatshirt on my way down.

I punched him in the face until he stopped fighting back, but the other three beat the tar out of me.

They bailed with their friend, though. They didn't get anything from me. I fucking hurt all over though.

That's really shite. Guns!!!???!? Wtf!! Even fake guns!! Wtf?!?!
America scares the heebie jeebies out of me.
Glad you're ok, and glad you fought back.

Received some very sad news about a friend's pregnancy today. I won't go into it, sufficed to say it's quite sad and thus is messing with my groove.

That subject has been covered recently elsewhere, BK. However, it's generally accepted that people tend to jump in here and offer condolences/advice/debate about things more than they post "hey, congrats!" in the happy thread. So what it really proves is that we're mostly a really great bunch of helpful, caring people...yeah.

Thanks. She's a cool old lady, fell down on saturday and has been declining in the hospital ever since. In a way it's a blessing as her greatest fear was going to a nursing home, and that's where she was going to have to go after she got out.

I've been here since 645AM and will be here until at least 600PM, if that makes you feel better.

Just now having my first cup of coffee
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.
