Trying to study in 30+ degree heat is hard. Think I'll make a tactical retreat and return to it later this evening once the temperature has dropped a bit.

I took the worst picture ever of myself this morning and then I couldn't laugh about it because I have a sore ribcage which makes laughing super painful.

Trying to print a picture using photographic paper by tomorrow, and I'm slipping up somewhere. I'm using a Canon Pixma MX870 and I've put the photographic paper into the tray as per instructions, but it keeps saying that there's no paper. What am I doing wrong??

waiting in line at the bank and all the tellers are busy with people who are bringing in their business deposits which means the line stops dead for 10 minutes at least - why can't they have just one line devoted to these deposits and not make the rest of us wait and wait and wait

Long division and negative numbers :)



EDIT: Okay, so the negative numbers are actually quite easy - it's the bloody long division that is evil!!! Why can't I just use a bloody calculator???

My brother's friend Melissa, who's basically obsessed with the two of us, is my perennial self-esteem booster.

On the basis that she worships the ground I walk on. And always has good things to say.

But I always feel dirty, because I have no intention of sleeping with this girl (she's, shall I say politely, morbidly obese?).

Seems my fatigue let a few people down today, or at least I thought. Hanging out with my friend, which, with this particular friend, is always an incomparable delight, kinda dragged towards the end, and my conversational skills were lacking. Feel kind of bad for that, because she was trying to pick up the slack. Also, my grandmother is miffed at me for not paying due attention during her lecture on her job at the radio station.

Yeah, minute troubles here, but they keep bugging me. Ah well.

cause you can't find the roots of more than cubic functions on a calculator?

I have recent practice at Year 10 maths, so I'm sure I can help with the long division if necessary. Even though it's been ... nearly 30 years since I last did it. :)
