Newfound awkwardness between a friend and I (we drunkenly hooked up on the weekend).

Clearly the solution is to profess your undying love for her! Then sing to her when ever you see her, and quote poetry, lots of poetry. ;)

Or if it was just a hook up and nothing more... happens all the time... simply continue the friendship... with possibly more hookups when drunk ;)

Boring repetitive lectures today. Wanted to run my brain through with a pen through the eye (I do not suffer boredom well...amazing I lived this long).

gf is so busy with work and trying to maintain a pantheon of friends every week that where we used to spend 5 days out of 7 together, we now spend 2, sometimes 3. It's disheartening and feels like we are moving backwards not forwards. I'm probably over-reacting, but my groove is messed with.

Some silly little joke on Facebook about burning down an orphanage (bad taste, I know, but no real offence meant) has degenerated into a shitstorm of oversensitivity. Jeez, if we were discussing actual orphans, I wouldn't touch it, but what we're doing is no less/more heinous than making jokes about religion or abortion or terrorism. Some people...

Those hypothetical orphans will never forgive you.

On campus there's a rather clever anti-affirmative action protest that has degenerated a truly unneccessary shitstorm. People really can't take a joke.

I'm feelin' ya Stormy.

On more grooves that have been messed, my little brother is bringing friends over for a sleepover, meaning my alread-slim chances of getting stuff done have dramatically decreased.

CHALLENGE ACCEP... wait, what? Drunken bear porn???

The following story is messing with my groove:
I had a phone call on the way home from work from someone who works for the company who I got the tickets for the NFL UK game I went to with TT last year. They called to offer me a special deal on the tickets this year if I wanted them. I told him that I probably couldn't afford it as I just got married etc. He told me that I paid £72.50 last year, but they would give me a saving of £50 making the tickets £22.50! I told him I was very interested, and how many tickets could I get at this special price as I had friends who might be interested? The answer was 8, so I was getting excited and arranged a time for him to call me back once I'd had a chance to speak to people who also might be interested at that price! I asked if there were any extra costs, so I could tell my friends what the full price would be. He said that there would be a booking fee/admin cost per ticket of £4, which is fair enough and the ticket price is still reasonable! He said "so the full price of each ticket will be £54." Hang on, what? But I thought... What exactly did you say the special deal was?
"You have a saving of £22.50, making the ticket price £50 like I said!"

Oops. I was walking along a busy main road and completely misheard him. All that misplaced enthusiasm and excitement! Gutted!

Ha that sucks. The UK has its own NFL?

One of the NFL (USA) games will be played in London at Wembley Stadium. Last year it was the Denver Broncos vs the San Francisco 49ers, I don't know anything yet about this year's game.

I've been studying spanish for 11 hours (so far) today. And I know I'm going to fail the test anyway.

I don't have time to write anymore, I don't have time to make music.

I still miss my fucking dog.

I probably ruined the life of a relatively innocent girl, recently. Maybe two of them.

I don't know where my life is going.

I realized today that I'm a physical sadist, and an emotional masochist. That's so depressing, I can't even handle it.

I'm no longer close to happy when I'm not high.

I can't afford weed, anymore.

I'm bringing this thread down with depressing shit.

Fuh...

From what I remember you are still pretty young, JLV (14, 15, 16?). We've all been there, you'll get through it and be stronger and better for it.

@KL: Hope everything's well. Hope your car ain't totaled and if it is hope it wasn't your fault!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
