Finished GHOST STORY and now there is a giant VOID-sucking hole that no book is seeming to fill...I hate that. It happened after I finished TCG as well.

Also, work is BORING today!

Girlfriend is being temperamental today and I thought I'd take her out for dinner tonight, but do you think any of the places I want to take her will take reservations? NO! Well FUCK YOU Toronto fancy schmancy restaurants...you lose my goddamned business because of that and we'll go to Milestones instead. ARG! FUCK!

You know on HELL'S KITCHEN when Gordon Ramsey finds something is raw and he kicks a garbage can with all his might and growls "RAW!"....yeah that's me right now.

fuckity fuck.

Usually crushes are cured with other crushes in my experience DW. It sounds like that girl would come with alot of baggage as it is.

^^This. I gotta agree with Gatekeeper here. The baggage is likely going to be extensive even if you got a chance at her. Take it from another guy who usually goes after the girl with the broken wing that it won't lead anywhere good sadly. I'd just do your level best to find something/someone else to occupy your mind. Just MHO though brother.

I've got a crush on a girl. She's in an on-off relationship with this other guy. The point is they've "broken" up about 4 times now. Never lasts for more than a week.
By the time I find out they broke up, their back together. This time I found out after asking her if she wanted to watch a movie after work at her place.
It's not going to happen for me, so I want to get this stuff out of my head.

Man I know what you're going through, I was in the same situation until recently. Every time they would 'break up' she would call me in tears and such dramatics, and me being the sucker I am would fall for it and get a sense of hope that I have a chance with her. And sure enough in a week or so they would be back together...
You just have to convince yourself that its not gonna happen, I haven't found an easy way, especially when she still calls me and tries to get back on my good side even after I yelled at her for being a manipulative bitch. I guess my friends knocking some sense into me helped a bit :) Just find something to keep your mind off her, but really if you had some time to reflect on what she's doing you'll get over her eventually, that's what happened to me...

Oh, she gets points by not crying to me or anyone. She isn't manipulating me, my own brain is feeding me false hope, that's why I'm mad.

Well guess you're better toff than I was then ;) See to her I was the guy who she knew would look after her no matter what, so she used that, which in turn gave me false hope...me being the 'nice' guy would willingly go through it all again saying to myself that this time it would be different, but of course it wouldn't be.
But since that's not your situation, I completely agree with King Kazma and Gatekeeper. Just find someone else to occupy your thoughts, I know it's easier said than done but you just gonna have to rationalize it and think logically about this whole thing.
I mean for me it was another girl that made me forget that one, even though it didn't work out with neither in the end but at least I'm free of them both. Hope that helps in anyway,it sucks when your crush is someone you can't be with..
Just let your brain handle this one, in my experience, when you let your heart (or other southerly organ) take control things usually end up rather messy...
When a man lies he murders
Some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which
Men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear
To witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation
Take me home

Been trying to get in touch with a friend for an eternity now. How difficult can it be to pick up your phone or phone back later when you see that someone called several times, repeatedly. I know she's just the way she is, but this is getting annoying anyway. And I'm not registering on facebook just for this. Agh!

Urgh...yeah, that is annoying as hell. I have two friends who almost never return phone calls and to be honest, we hardly get together anymore because of that. (Not because I don't want to but I'm tired of being the one to make the effort all the freaking time). I've sort of adopted the mentality of "if they want to see me, they know how to reach me" now.

Same here. I usually don't push such matters, too much hassle. But I suddenly got the urge to read some of the books I lent her over a year ago, and while I got most of them on ebay, they're all out of print, meaning I might not get lucky again when trying to get my hands on other copies.
Also, she married last year and due to some circumstances I still have the present I made for her and her significant other here, and it takes up space and I want it outta here. Soon, if possible.

N64 Saga

Bought an N64 a while back out of pure nostalgia. Bought it plugged it in but it wouldnt work on a HD TV because the lead wasnt right or something. Got the right lead then the N64 wouldnt turn on. That was 2 weeks ago. I bought another N64 today with the right leads and plugged it in. Had a great Super Smash Bros based time but then something shorted out behind the TV. I took the console brought it down stairs to work on another TV and it worked fine and started playing Zelda. Went to put Golden Eye on and now the TV isnt picking it up. Im the worst person for technology so after trying a few things Ive given up.

Admittedly a boring story and small time in the grand scheme of this thread but dammit I WANTED TO PLAY GOLDENEYE ;)

I keep a TV lying about for the express purpose of using my N64.

just had to call the cops cos i saw the immediate aftermath of a guy being beaten up while i was driving home. Feeling like a big coward too cos i didn't stop, even though a taxi driver had pulled over in front of me, and some passers-by had intervened.

I freely admit that I'd have been afraid to get involved at the moment, mostly cos i dislocated my shoulder and sprained my knee this afternoon in a soccer match, and so i couldn't have defended myself in any way should things have turned nasty again. I have previously intervened in situations like this (as i used to work as security here in Dunedin). Still definitely messed with my groove tonight.

Attempting to deal with the NHS.

"Yeah, I got a phone call to tell me I need to phone you to get a change of insulin supply, then she told me it wasn't her I was supposed to be phoning and hung up. Can you change my insulin?"
"Yes, we'll just get you an emergency appointment. How much insulin do you have at the moment?"
"Enough to last about a month"
"That should be fine"

Letter comes through with an emergency appointment for... halfway through October. Thanks, NHS. I'm sure I can go without that stuff I need to live for a month and a half. In your own time.

I was watching a documentary on Alexander the Great and the bad manga style/comic illustrations they were using to create atmosphere were messing with my groove. But the documentary on Hannibal now is even worse, totally ruins the mood ;)

You should get of facebook though, you never who you will run into from your past on there. Plus it might lead to other more "present" good things...

The possibility of running into people from my past is just another reason to keep the hell away from facebook. I prefer looking into the future these days.

And for the present good encounters there's Google+ ;)

The woeful inaccuracies and sensationalism ruins the mood with me. I cant watch them anymore as everything noted in any source is taken at face value.

Vows of eternal opposition, murderous drunken rages, unmitigated slaughter, tales of adversity and wunderkinds make for great TV, sadly.

Oh, and was really looking for a good sleep in tomorrow after working almost thirty hours this weekend, only I just remembered I have to be up in six hours for an compulsory Honours meeting. Goddammit.
