Make Taylor Swifts creepy face go away!!!!

I'm sick of a some of the people I know getting all paranoid and over dramatic that their houses in Brisbane are going to be swept away..... it is VERY irritating! Especially when others are having that happen to them, but they didn't seem to care about them, just about how much drama they can create around themselves!

Edit: oh yeah and my dad is waterlogged in his house, bogged his car, got it out, then bogged his tractor which is stuck, broke his phone and my brother got his face smashed in basketball last night, and I have no mother as she is still in england with a dying father.... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah :D

Slipped and fell like a sack of shit on friday night, hit the ground hard and flat on my left side, head too. My whole left side is bruised to various extents, especially the arm and hip. I'm extremely lucky that I haven't broken anything (quick thinking NOT trying to break the fall with my hand, it would snap for sure). However, I still feel like if I was hit by a bus. Also, a bit worried about hitting my head on the fall, perhaps I should have myself checked, though I don't feel sick or dizzy.

My tip for you: a beach covered in slick ice coated in sea spray is extremely slippery. Do not attempt to cross it without spikes.

Trying to sort out a new flat with no furniture and no money to buy it! (Except for some cracking deals I got today - will put them in the What's Making You Happy Thread!)

Also, at work they have put us back on 7 days in a row shift patterns. We changed from them to have 2 extra days off a month and work a few longer shifts in order to make up the hours. I didn't mind the longer shifts because the two extra days off were most welcome, working 7 days in a row is just awful & those 2 extra days meant 60 less miles per month of travel & petrol. Now cos 2 people have complained that we're not getting paid what we should be (the extra hours on the weekend apparently mean we're entitled to a small bit more per month - not a lot more by any stretch of the imagination). The original idea was that we would try out the new rota (where we would only work 3 days in a row at a time) for a while and see what would happen, with the understanding that with the budget cuts they couldn't afford the extra weekend enhancements for all the people who would qualify for them (it all adds up!) No-one would lose any money and we would get two extra days off a month. But 2 people complained that they wanted the extra money so now everyone is back to 7 days in a row...
So frustrated!

This is the worst flooding in QLD on record (I think, or at least for a long time), hundreds of thousands of people have been affected, billions of dollars of damage.

and I've now been sent home from work because of the flood warnings.

sorry for the double post, but I have friends who will now be underwater (friend who wont be is still trying to make themselves into the victim... grrrr) and my place is under severe threat, though I wont have to evacuate tonight at least. My uncle who was diagnosed with cancer last year, who I thought was actually going to make it (unlike my father), died last night.



I haz a sad :D

That's plenty awful Grim :p Hope things work out.

The floods in Queensland...no-one I know is up there, but it's still a tragedy and its gnawing on my mind. And hell, we're headed up there soon... :D
