Due to a long running clash in professional conducts between the agency owner and an interpreter, I have now lost the best interpreter I have ever had for my remaining year of grad school. Fuuuuuuuck.

The one caveat to this is that the replacement is the insanely hot (and very good) interpreter. I have had at least ten classmates (male and female) express disappointment that she's happily married.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I'm dealing with a tonne of negative energy coming our way every day, and every day I apologise to people for something that's not my fault.
I need a vacation.

music festival coming up, but still 90 minutes to kill until my last meeting of the day, and then get through that one alive and with a contract....... before I can jump on the train and walk with a weekend bag, sleeping bag and a tent under my arm through Amsterdam to the place where my best mate will pick me up.... then an hours drive, putting the tent up, scrounging for dinner before I can finally sit back and do what I came for.....
Meh. I want to see music performers (and sexy groupies) live NAO!!

So, that girl I asked to the social? She'd still love to come, but because she acted up or something (long story) her parents are effectively grounding her. My parents will try talking to them, but I doubt this will work.

It gets better, no trains are going for the next three hours because someone decided jumping in front of a train was the very best way to end his life. Yeah, I'm heartlessly selfish.....
.....But so was that guy (edit: it is the most travelled track in the country in a passenger per day rate, and at this particular station, there's a very good chance quite a few people saw the accident to boot - and that is something you do not want to see).

She stood up to her parents for a chance to go with you, which is important. Unless she blames you for it, but really, there has to come a time when the youngling has to start thinking for him or her own self. They can't put a collar around her neck forever, and they should start realizing that, right now.
What kind of a parent doesn't want their kid to be social? It's madness.
Hang in there champ, it'll come around. If you're ready to be patient and keep comm channels with her active.

Shake it off, champ. Don't dwell on what could have been, it will only depress you. Like Gothos said, be patient and you'll get your shot - she can only be grounded for so long, after all.

Very selfish indeed. It happens here too. I think they want other ppl to know that they hated life enough to kill themselves. I feel sorry for driver. :)

Thanks guys. :) I am feeling a bit better now. I'm hoping that with the time I have left (about 12 days) they'll cool off and let her go. Damned if I'll take this lying down. :D Besides, she is really nice and sweet (corny I know) and I'd love to get to know her better.

Today I had to have my wonderful dog of 11 years put down. I'm bummed. And can't sleep. Though my father paid the £300 bill I was presented with, that included a £90 out of hours charge. /wrists
