I just got a letter under mt door telling me that there is a huge problem with the sewage drainage in my res and they are going to have to knock down a wall and work on the pipes...that have been here since like 1960. they inform me that it is going to take +- 2 weeks which means about a month.

Dusing this time the bathrooms on all the senio coridors will be off limits... we also cant use the basins in our rooms for anything. this now means that if i want to do anything from take a shower to filling my kettle for some tea i have to walk to the other side of res to use the fist year bathrooms.

The first year bathrooms have 2 toilets each(and urinals) and they have three floors. so now close to 300 people have to use 6 toilets and about 12 showers....good times.

the worst bit is there were poblems last year that were indicators something like this might happen. Why not fix this problem during the almost 2 month holiday over december and january??? or the 1 month holiday in june or even the one week holiday we just had when there were only like 10 people in the whole of res????
You never have the same problem twice when you set it on fire

In no particular order:

The University hasn't deigned to turn the heating on yet, so it's freezing.

Freshers clogging up the computers using Facebook

Freshers

Undergrads.A monkey could do a BA, except it would make less noise and mess.

The two women sitting directly behind me on the bus having a 20 min conversation about the cough sweet 'Tunes'

The 2 little teen bitches sitting behind me on the metro wearing enough perfume that I nearly coughed myself sick, whilst they discussed performing blow jobs on someone called Jordan

The fact that I read a survey in the paper that asked the average Britian (read: retard)"what are the most confusing things" top 4

1. Foreign call centres (latent racists)
2. Algebra (fair enough)
3. Why women find Russel Brand attractive.
4. Why Cheryl Cole took Ashley back after he cheated on her.

These are the signs of the apocalypse.

I'm going to add to this that on the Metro some woman, talking with a woman she had clearly just met about her toddlers name (after a lengthy discussion on breast feeding) said: "He's called Calvin Giles, he's got the same name as the coloured guy on Strictly Come Dancing" now I'm sure she wasn't being malicious, the very fact that she used the terminology 'coloured' to a stranger, all be it to another white stranger, indicates that she felt there was nothing offensive in the term. But to me that almost made it seem worse. I don't want to be too 'right on' here, but I've always found the terminology 'coloured' problematic, much more so that black or white, asian or european (inaccurate as these may be in descriptive terms you have to say something and it's sure as fuck isn't going to be African- American or Afro-Caribean cos then we get into the semantics of identity and the falsehood of nationality and ethnicity), because it suggests that any non-white is 'other' different: white is normal, everyone else 'has colour'. It's exclusionary and it's a real pet hate for me.

God, how annoying. People are such vile retards and these inaccuracies really bug me too. I mean, Calvin is the name of his character in Hollyoaks! The guy is really called Ricky.

And Hollyoaks! Although, in my defence I only really watch Strictly Come Dancing during the X Factor ad breaks. Yet still I find time to be the adorable razor witted super brain that you all know and love.

I need to get my stomach examined. Because every now and then it starts hurting like a bitch whenever I eat something. Even worse so if I drink alcohol like last night.

I've got bronchitis, which is enough to mess with my day on it's own. I just looked out my window and it's snowing! It's only the beginning of October for crying out loud, that's far too early for this shit.

What's messing with my groove is the United States of 'We have a black president therefore we must be the most racially sensitive country in the world' America!

If a group of African-Americans wanted to portray the Beach Boys and did so by wearing Hawaiian shirts and painting their faces white - I wouldn't be insulted. How else do you take off the Jackson 5? They were mimicking a group of people NOT an entire race unlike Robert Downey Jnr who got a bloody Oscars nomination for doing so!

And why is it when African-American men dress up like Caucasian women it equals comedy? Perhaps you're only racist if you don't add a level of sexism to your act.

And what about Harry Connick 'Mightier then thou' Jnr - it wasn't that long ago that he did a black-faced skit taking off a black preacher on Saturday Night Live.

Just because the USA is looking towards a brighter future doesn't mean the rest of the world has forgotten how they have been for the past hundreds of years!

YES WE CAN! - Have double standards!

Yes you can! blame an entire country for one dude's opinion? And, Harry Connick Jr.'s at that?

Still can't find DoD anywhere. :)

I'd just like to put out a general notice-if there are any Australian people who came by their copy without using Amazon or eBay, could they tell me how they did it? I'm desperate!
