It's absolutely freezing today. Heating is definitely going on next week, which will be... expensive

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

Had to spend £60 that I don't have on a new, basic, knife set, then £15 that I don't have on a fucking cookbook for college that I'll never use 'cause I hate the way the author cooks.

I feel like crap... Blame the alcohol that was involved... and as for awkward social situations, ASK THE COUPLE THAT ARE CURRENTLY ASLEEP IN MY BED lmao.

@ the caps part:
you see, this is why I don't offer our house for parties... I need to be able to get sum sleep after a night out.
currently messing with my groove is the fact that I have 7.5 hours of classes again tomorrow. Also, the fact that i have no will whatsoever to do any work...

7.5 hours of class pales in comparison of 7.5 hours of work, I look back on it all with a tear in my eye, and then I open my wallet and all the pain goes away...mostly

make that "7.5 hours of class, stretched from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM"
just so that the 8-5 workers don't feel so bad...

that is pretty awful, you have class in the evening? Don't they understand student need to drink themselves into oblivion every evening?

lol, 6:30-9:30 lecture, yes
and the general consensus among the alcohol-serving places around the city is that Students should only spend 4 nights a week (Wed-Sat) drinking.
of course, if you think about it, drinking every single nigth would get expensive very fast...

Yes it would get expensive, but I think that increasing the suicide rates of students by making them take cvlasses in the evening is also too high a price to pay and hence more expensive. In fact universities should get the first round in everytime you go out...its only fair.

surely, you jest
also, night classes generally come in 3-h lecture blocks, meaning you only have that one slot a week dedicated to that class. And when you pick your courses, the scedules are there, so you know what you're getting into.
As for suicide rates, they seem to be rather low... in fact in my 4 years, I have heard of only one case.

My watched stopped randomly on the train on the way home from London. This firstly meant I thought my girlfriend would still be awake, phoned her up and woke her up. Very very bad plan. Also I thought for a fraction of a second that the train had arrived a full 90 minutes early, until I realised that it was part of the British Public Transport System, and that kind of thing simply never happens. It's just not cricket.

I do, jest that is, esp. about the suicides, never really funny even with the 1 student. we came close in the first year, but it wasn't suicide, just alcohol poisoning and it was self inflicted, the idiot. Cllaimed to be able to drink a whole vodka bottle, did so and then passed out we dumped him in his room, duiring the night the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the halls. he didn't make it out and the wardens weren't able to wake him and he got carried out by firemen and ended up in the hospital. He never lived that one down funnily enough.
