A friend just took her kid off meds as he was getting facial ticks. It's a minefield.

The one med that made him hear things was a SCARY night and made me feel like a terrible parent. He was TERRIFIED that something was in his wall and talking to him. He would not leave my side and he stayed with me downstairs long past his bedtime till exhaustion took him....I cried on the stairs after lifting him into his bed as I felt it was our fault we put him on a medication that caused such a scary thing for him to endure at like 7 years old. Luckily it was only once and only that med...but yeah minefield is right!

Fait warning that med was Focusin.

If you can manage him without, that's the best route for sure.

What med have you found that works?

He was on chewable Vyvanse (it worked well, but was the one that made him not hungry enough and he lost weight), and now he's on something new I forgot the name of that is similar to Vyvanse.
