Experts warn that a fatal "zombie deer" disease could soon jump to humans.

[...] chronic wasting disease (CWD), which is typically fatal to every animal it infects [...] confusion, weakness, drooling, and neurological issues.

[...] since the infected pigs might have caught the disease by eating infected meat, this raises concerns about our own meat consumption—especially since the proteins causing the disease only become more concentrated when cooked.

About 5.3% of American adults reported having current long Covid symptoms when the CDC last conducted a survey from August to September, and 17.9% reported ever having long Covid.

David Lynch and Bob Ueker both died.

Both related to their lifelong smoking. But Ueker made it to 90, Lynch was only 78.

Gosh dang. I mostly know Uecker from comedy, not sports, but he was a really funny guy.
Lynch -- dunno what to say. He was a master. TP: The Return is straight up one of the best things I've ever seen, so to go out on that note is as good as one could ask for. I went to college in L.A. and got to see a sneak preview of Mulholland Drive on campus. Aside from Dune, that was the first Lynch thing I'd ever seen (didn't watch Twin Peaks during its original run), and I was mesmerized. And while not strictly horror, it gave me the single biggest jump scare I've ever had.

They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I accept that he was one of the greats, but I dislike ALL his work. I've never gotten the attraction. I've seen at least 4 or 5 of his films and the only one I can come close to stomaching is DUNE. Twin Peaks made me angry.

His movies were much closer to like... alt reality in which aliens attempt to be people than they were people doing story things we're more used to.

Cool things, totally get how people bounce off them.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
