It's the second day I am having a permanent, persisting headache. Wonderful. And people are like "OMG, it's so hot outside, how niiiice!" No, this weather is not great. It's as if everyone has already forgotten the heat wave that ended two weeks ago and thanks to which we've still got forest fires and an increase in food prices looming on the horizon. I mean, I'd rather have affordable food than sunshine, which equals a splitting headache for me anyway.

Sorry for the rant, this weather is messing with my groove fiercely.

Don't have confirmation yet but apparently Zimbabwe is letting china install Surface to air missiles in the country. If this is true this is sickening. It will mean that in an effort to stick it to the west over colonialization Zimbabwe has crashed so far that they are now inviting the dragon in to colonize the country. China will expand its influence and projects in Zimbabwe and in exchange will help itseld to the mineral wealth of Zimbabwe. Good job bob

My let big toe is a solid bruise over the 1st joint from the nail down.
The SOB forward I was covering would start his every run by "accidentally" backing onto my foot, and then turning and sprinting away on a breakaway.
Not that I'm bitter or anything.

I thought I was on deodorant stick 1 of 2 when I finished it yesterday, but I was on 2 of 2! (I love to buy 2-packs). So yikes, no deodorant today!
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

In the last 12 hours, 2 friends, 2 colleagues and 1 family member have all called multiple times asking for help/advice. One friend called at 11.30 pm asking what was a good laptop brand.

I have nothing against helping people but I am starting to feel a bit overloaded.

One must hope not! ;)

And Andorion - I think you've every right to feel overloaded after that! I am asking this knowing it's something I find very difficult, but would it cause people to panic if you didn't answer? I hate doing it as I always feel rude but sometimes quiet time to yourself is important too. None of the individual people are probably aware of all the other calls, but it does all build up.

"Not responding" is also the policy I have adopted now with both mother and son from my post up thread.... son took the hint to leave me alone and has done so, mother has been on at me again twice. A minor meltdown and panic attack later and I'm now just ignoring her messages.

Turn your phone off/on silent after 10pm perhaps?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Great suggestions from both of you.

I am totally going to implement the phone silent after 10 thing. And I have to learn how to say "no" more. Sometimes I honestly feel like I am people's personal google.

Messing with my groove right now:
Reddit makes me feel old! There were all these people grumbling about teachers in college and I just realized that I teach people this age! They are talking about me!

Or just don't answer the phone. If it's a lifedeath emergency (it isn't) they'll say so (they won't) in the vm (as in more than 'call me back').
Also, text: "hey, got your msg late last night, busy today will try to cb soonish". Then don't for at least a day. Or at all.

The absolute lack of anything releasing this year (bar one exception) in terms of fantasy that holds any interest for me whatsoever. It's really grinding me down, actually.
Debut novel 'Incarnate' now available on Kindle

Fucking delayed again.

Try the 15th life of Harry August (@Maark) it's not fantasy per se but it's an excellent novel and you'll get it on Amazon used for peanuts

There is a Black Company novel being released soon somewhere in the next few weeks, "Port of Shadow" I seem to recall.

Lately I have been reading quite a lot of books about WWII and loads of Sci-fi books with the odd fantasy book in between.

Messing with my groove.

My sinuses keep acting up, even the special nasal spray that my doctor had prescribed last year that worked wonders seems to have almost zero effect.

Wonder if the next step would be the surgery that my dad has undergone last Monday.

Are you queasy and light sensitive? That is a migraine if so, and believe me, they are nightmares.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Do you have a new bottle? If not, the old one might have expired. My nasal cortisone spray does that after nine months or so and I have to get a new one every year once allergy season hits.

Nope, not migraines. It's not my blood pressure either. I've had these headaches since I was 9 or so, and have been checked by the doc several times and nothing, the only conclusion is that I am stupidly sensitive to the weather, especially to hot weather and storms, and since both have been increasing in the past years, so have my headaches. This year was particularly bad, so far, I was this close to getting myself to the ER one night when a particularly heavy storm was passing nearby (the headache tends to go away almost instantly when a storm finally hits and the rain comes down). I'm on migraine meds at the moment, though the doc made it pretty clear that I do not have migraines, just that he has no idea what else to prescribe me and since they work and I'm responsible with when I take them it's fine. It's still annoying, because if I do not want to take the heavy meds, nothing makes the headache go away completely, it just hangs around all day.

Messing with my groove is that my brother has managed to break his arm and the doctors say he's unlikely to get the entire range of motion back after it heals and we can't really do anything from here other than maybe send money since he can't work properly atm. Doubly groove messing is that his other arm already has the same motion range issue and he's trying to be all joking and stuff about it but it's heartbreaking to see the opposite emotion in his face when we skype. At least mom's going over there for the next three weeks and will be able to help out around the house.

I was going to go to the gym, then remembered that it's the town festival parade today and I won't be able to get back home for HOURS because the stupid parade is going right past our house. Can't go later, either, 'cause I'm meeting a friend :D
