More shenanigans with my dad.
I always feel uncomfortable complaining about the NHS. We're fortunate to have it and the front line staff on the wards who've dealt with him have been fantastic. It's the administrative side of it which has been diabolical from start to finish.
Given a date of 11th to go in for surgery – valve repair and bypass, not sure how many bypasses until they get in there, so to speak -– after care information comes in the post and states to expect a letter seven to ten days prior to surgery confirming the date and time to go in (has to go in the night before I believe).
Seven days prior rolls round with no letter. As it's a bank holiday weekend he thinks nothing of it and rings them to double check. The switchboard obviously didn't give his name putting him through to the department and must have said it was a chap calling about surgery on the 11th. So someone answers "Hello Mr Jackson." Neither mine nor dad's surname happens to be Jackson. Not a good start.
Furious back pedalling commences claiming he has been moved to the 21st, no reason given. I know they obviously have to accommodate emergencies which can come in at any time (not sure I believe ten days worth of emergencies happen in three days, but that's by the by) but looking at how easy it would be to mistype 11 for 21 I can't help but feel the date of the 11th was a bit of a mess up and he was never going in.
Let's see if the 21st sticks.
The only plus side to this is I had started going grey last year, so far all in one streak at the front. At this rate I will have achieved the Rogue from X-Men look much quicker than anticipated. Hurrah.

Just sat for another IT certification test, but I won’t find out the results for a couple days. Absolutely brutal exam.

The sunshine and heat. I'm photophobic - the light hurts my eyes. It also draws happy, playing children into the streets and nothing irks me more than the sound of a child's laughter.

Step 1: Acquire lawn.
Step 2: Shout at said children to "get off it".
Step 3: ???

Yes, but you also make a fair bit more than me I dare say.
Not that you don't deserve it, mind.
Plus you can tell people to fuck off.
Hmmm, my standard day since I moved here last January has probably averaged out to about 0630-1700/1730.
Considering it's supposed to be 0700-1530, I like to think the taxpayer is getting reasonable value out of me.
Stupid lottery numbers, hurry the fuck up.

What the f*ck just happened at Eurovison?! I thought the jury voting was supposed to prevent block voting? Then why the hell are ALL the juries block voting together now? I'm also pissed as hell about the juries flat-out ignoring Ukraine. I mean, come on, he didn't come 7th in the viewer voting for nothing. So much for 'muh, we are gonna prevent political voting by having the juries vote'.
Also, how the hell did that snoozefest Germany managed to dig up this year manage to place 4th?
/rant
But seriously, what messes with my groove is that I can already see the media in Ukraine ripping into Melovin for placing so low after all the drama surrounding him winning the national selection two months ago. Ugh.
