Yah, it's awful. Guardian has a liveblog with verified updates going: https://www.theguard...e-incident-live
Looks like a possible second incident at a Borough Market.

Of course if it is a terrorist act, the timing is entirely conspicuous. A "West vs. Islam" war is the ultimate goal of them (whether the low level dupes pulling them off really get it or not), and as it turns out, they're effective. I just wish the media narrative was accurate: if you want war with Islam, you're on the same side as the terrorists.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Scraped pretty much all the skin off my left knee in a spectacular sliding cross yesterday. Sadly, none of my teammates were in a good spot to receive the pass and score, :D But I made a run from centre to the enemy net, so I'm still feeling quite pleased, even if the leg continues to feel annoying.

Messing with me is the fact that I won't be swimming with this huge sore (probably 2.5 times the size of a toonie for the kneecap, and another quarter-sized one on the side) for at least a week until it crusts over.

I'll also need to find and buy some wrap-around band-aid-type strip before tomorrow's game...

So basically the fate of every ManU winger in the LVG era?

But seriously, if its a very big cut, you should clean it with something antiseptic. I got a hige scrape like that once and it got infected.

It's been doused with peroxide, lathered with "brilliant Green", and there's a gauze pad taped over it. Don't worry, I'm first-aid trained, lol.

Talk to people instead.

No wait. Scratch that. Bad idea.

Just had to deal with my son wetting his bed at 3am.

It's only the third time in 4 years he has done it and it's always been when he is unwell (he has the flu at the moment). So it's not a common occurrence for us but it's like 8°C so being woken up and having to get out of a warm bed was painful.

And now I'm awake and I just know by the time I eventually fall back to sleep I'll be lucky to manage another hour of sleep before being woken up again.

Woe.

I changed computers a couple times since doing these, but I was wondering if the files from the two mediafire links in this

In case you're wondering what they're talking about, I let them hear the voice sample I sent Silencer back when we first brought up the podcast idea. Apparently I wasn't lispy or stuttery enough, so they asked me to do more. So I decided to read the summary I wrote of what Kyle did at the end of Return of the Crimson Guard a while back since everyone was so persuasive, and, well, I really can't pronounce Ghelel's name at all.

Also doing these is making me happy. SO MODEST

were still there, but both links are dead. And now I'm sad.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I think I deleted my "misc" folder from my hard drive at some point in the name of efficiency, but I *may* still have the files in question on a backup HDD somewhere. I shall look. XD

I'm a slight state of panic about this election. Dunno why I've never been this worked up before and there's nothing I can do now.

Eh. Whatever happens I'm going to try and stay positive.

Oh 2011 how I miss thee.

Illy, did you do a goodkind rant re: the chicken, or was that someone else? Because I seem to remember a chicken-based rant and I was talking about goodkind the other day and thought of it.

Not that I remember, I'm afraid. My rants about novels were trailing off after trying and failing to make the boring start of RG funny so it's been a while since I wrote much.

Dreams. Good dreams, mind you. Just...about someone who I miss dearly. Makes it hard to sleep properly.

Heh. When are you coming back to Brisbane for a visit? (And how are you still alive up in Townsville? ;))

Sadly, no. I do get semi-regular photos of my cat being adorable, though.

Personally I thought it was a bit contrived.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.
