Interesting, guess it really depends on your metabolism and other circumstances, because Cetirizine is what makes me so drowsy. I'm on Desloratadine now, but not long enough to tell if it's got any side effects. I could live with headaches or something, but I need to be awake.

Also, I'm going the long route and gettig immunity-raising shots, but it has to be done at least three years in a row. Still, I feel like I already react less to some tree pollen after one year of treatment. Could be imagining that, though.

Also, @Andorion: I looked and seems like we're lagging behind. What I've got now are second gen pills, and I don't think we've got anything above third. May be due to the local laws. We're big on the immunity-raising treatments, though.

Oh right I was thinking of antibiotics.

I am on Fexofenadine as Cetirizine was not really cutting it for me. Its a 2nd gen, though wikipedia says it can be called a third gen. Brand name is Allegra. Bloody huge 180 mg tablets.

Figuring out maintenance (alimony) and child support is bringing me down...

So far, the difference in our discretionary/fluctuating spending (eg food, gas, household supplies, recreation) is around $750, in her favor. I calculated this by subtracting our fixed expenses (rent, car insurance, etc) from what we both get in net income (using the current alimony/child support calculations).

I guess what is most worrisome is she will demand this be status quo... she already felt like it would be fair for me to give her 50% of my net (post tax) income this month, and using more accurate calculations, she still gets 49% of my net income. I feel like 36% is more fair since she works and brings in her own money (albeit less than I do). We'll see I guess.

I really wish I could wake up early when I don't have to.
I wake up at 7 everyday of the week, but for the life of me I can't wake up before 2 PM on weekends. Doesn't matter if I go to sleep at 10 PM the night before or 4 AM.

I'm really pissed because I wanted to exercise this morning but woke up at 2...

Have a job interview in the morning. Whereas I'd normally have a good idea of what the job is all about and could prepare for it, they are basically creating a new position, and the job description is incredibly vague. Though it's mostly going to be video work.

The tricky part is, I met a couple of the management people before Christmas and convinced them to create this position, but the guy who would have been the boss left his job two weeks ago, and so it's now even more unclear as to what's going on. And despite me basically getting them to create a position, it had to be publicly advertised for legal reasons, and so I had to go through the rigmarole of applying and now being interviewed again.

It would be particularly galling, if a random super candidate has also applied for the position and pips me at the post. Fingers crossed.

And tax bill is huge, I am oncall next week (meaning anyone can call me with a problem anytime of day or night), and generally just feel like shit. Down and getting kicked all the more.

HeH I have the opposite problem. Doesn't matter how hard I try I get up 6.30 AM. I can never sleep in on weekends. Its irritating

It can be bad. Sometimes when I go to sleep at 2.30 and still wake up at 6 I just want to kill myself


I got the same problem as EM; no matter how much I want to, or how many times the alarm goes off, I will not get up when I planned to on weekends or other days I have not to be somewhere like work early. That's one reason why I go to the gym, because it feels more like an appointment and I know that if I don't get up early enough and get there, the gym will be too crowded for my liking, so I'm tricking myself into making 'gym day' of those days I'm not working as well as Saturdays. That's way too complicated, by it's the only thing that works.

Unless I actually have stuff planned to do in the weekend that require me to b up relatively early (like 11 AM), I can comfortably sleep till past noon. I still usually wake up around 6:30-7 (whe I get up during the week), but then I promptly crash again.

And knowing this, I generally don't go to sleep before 3-4 AM on a weekend night.

Messing with my groove this morning- yep, you guessed it- both feet feeling like tender steaks, now that I'm through the rush of actually getting to work.

Umm... this is a thought from reading all your posts on physical injuries.. why do you do it? Is it really worth it?

Feeling a stone wall on defence, havin th world reduced to a simple set of rules for an hour, fighting adversity (including younger, younger and/or larger teams, since people that "manage" my tea often ha problems findin reliable players).

Plus, y'know, intense workout, socializing adrenaline rush. The fact I've been crazy in love with playing since I was 10 year old.

Sure, I get the occasional twinge of pain if my position my foot wrong sitting a good desk job. But I've never had a problem with pain- I have a comparatively high threshold, and given my mostly-sedentary lifestyle (desk job, 2.5 hour of daily commute), I need to stay active and not just active but push myself to somewhat intense activity- because otherwise I'll deteriorate continuously. Especially during the winter.

I suspect that's part of my subconscious reluctance to get a driver's license. Right now, i'm forcing myself to take the more challenging way- when I need to run errands anywhere within 5 km radius from my home, I walk, or bike (if biking, it may be as far as 10), and I never regret the time spent. I'm afraid that if I get m license, i'll give in to convenience of driving for such minute tasks, which would mean i'd have to put extra effort into staying fit (right now, when I have no choice, I don't consider the effort of walking or biking as "work". But if I got free time from driving, i'd have to join the gym or exercise more at home, which Is "work".)

So, to answer your question: yeah it's totally worth it. Except sometimes for the day immediately after.

I'm speaking as a person who's been doing jacket wrestling for a month and a half on a broken big toe. Painful, yet ignorable in session.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
